You work in close cooperation with HW-, SW and FPGA Engineering, Purchase, project managers, external and internal partners to provide ambitious solutions addressing the demanding needs in a changing world.\nYour mission as Work Package Manager (m/f/d)\nAs Workpackage Manager, you will be in charge of the technical management of internal development project(s) around mobile radar systems. You work in close cooperation with HW-, SW and FPGA Engineering, Purchase, project managers, external and internal partners to provide ambitious solutions addressing the demanding needs in a changing world.\nPlan & coordinate the activities for the development of a digital building block (System-, Hardware-, Firmware- and Software Engineering) to ensure that the delivery milestones are met\nPrioritization of tasks and resource management in your work package\nAccompany the development process in ensure the application of the Thales processes\nAddress critical topics and ensure that they are resolved by specialist departments and experts.\nBe contact point for internal stakeholders such purchase department, supply chain, configuration management or specialists\nMonitoring of engineering activities (technical progress vs planning, estimated costs at completion vs. cost baseline) and technical risk management\nPresentation of project status to management and customers\nWe are looking forward to:\nCompleted technical master studies, e.g. in computer science, electronical engineering, ideally linked to radar or comparable professional experience\nSolid professional experience in engineering management, ideally in defense business\nProfessional experiences in embedded software or hardware engineering adventageous\nExperience in managing complex development work packages\nWell familiar with scheduling and planning of engineering activities (incl. cost estimation)\nKnowledge of relevant norms and standards in defense or aerospace business (e.g. MIL-STD-810 or STANAG 4370 AECTP 300/400)\nHigh focus on customer needs\nStrong communication and lateral leadership skills\nStrong ability to work in a team with colleagues from Engineering, Industry and Project- and Product management both in a national and international environment\nUnderstanding of business objectives and willingness to lead & manage\nGood knowledge of spoken and written German and English\nThe Group invests more than €4,5 billion per year in Research & Development in key areas, particularly for critical environments, such as Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum and cloud technologies.\nIn 2025, the Group generated sales of €22.1 billion. \nFor our more than 85,000 employees in 65 countries we open up visionary perspectives, realise individual career paths and enable creative freedom.
