of role\nTo act as the Finance function’s principal representative within the Group’s Projects Management Office (PMO) and the Karo project team, providing robust financial control, commercial insight and financial governance across the Group’s capital project portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered within approved budgets, forecasts and financial parameters while proactively identifying financial risks and opportunities, and ensuring accurate, well-governed visibility of Group-wide capital expenditure for Board, shareholder and investor/analyst communications.\nContext of role\nPMO & Group Capital Portfolio Governance\nAct as the Finance function’s primary representative on the Group’s Projects Management Office (PMO), coordinating financial input, reporting and challenge across all Group capital projects.\nProject Financial Control & Reporting\nMonitor project financial performance against approved budgets, forecasts and business cases.\nBudgeting & Forecasting\nLead and coordinate project budgeting and forecasting processes.\nCost Management & Analysis\nMonitor project costs across labour, materials, contractors, professional services, equipment and other project expenditure.\nProject Cash Flow\nPrepare and maintain project cash flow forecasts, monthly resolution to end of project.\nCommercial & Contractual Support\nProvide financial input into project procurement and contracting processes.\nCapital Expenditure & Asset Management\nMonitor capital expenditure against approved project budgets and business cases.\nGroup Reporting & Consolidation\nPrepare and submit project financial information for Group reporting.\nAudit, Compliance & Controls\nSupport internal and external audits relating to projects.\nFinancial Analysis & Decision Support\nProvide financial analysis to support project investment and strategic decisions.\nProcess Improvement\nIdentify and implement improvements to project financial reporting and control processes.\nRequirements\nQualifications\nBCom degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance or equivalent.Advantageous:\n\nCIMA qualification.\nCA(SA) qualification.\nACCA or SAIPA qualification.\nPostgraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Project Management or a related discipline.\nProject management or project finance qualification.\nJob specific experience\nMinimum 5 years' relevant experience in financial control, management accounting, project accounting or a similar finance role.\nProven experience in project financial control and cost management.\nExperience in ERP systems.\nInherent requirements\nMust be medically fit.\nClosing date\n28 October
