The role's scope covers procurement process management, Inventory, vendor engagement, and contract discussions, all geared towards optimizing costs, quality, and delivery schedules.\nRole Context\nSourcing and Supplier Management\nIdentify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting market research and supplier assessments.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms, and ensuring adherence to agreements.\nContinuously monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery schedules.\nProcurement Process\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and specifications.\nManage end-to-end procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, bidding, negotiation, purchase order creation, and contract management.\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment with company goals and budget constraints. \nContract Management\nDraft, review, and finalize procurement contracts, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.\nMonitor contract terms and conditions, tracking deliverables, and resolving any contractual disputes.\nCost Management\nMonitor and manage procurement budgets, analyse spending patterns, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards.\nMitigate and reduce Maverick Spend.\nInventory Management\nCollaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure efficient stock levels and minimize excess inventory.\nMonitor inventory turnover and recommend adjustments to procurement strategies.\nCollaborate with relevant departments to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess stock.\nRisk Management\nIdentify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.\nStay updated on industry regulations and trends affecting procurement and supply chain activities.\nMonitor supplier performance to ensure consistent quality and adherence to agreements.\nStay informed about changes in regulations and industry standards that might impact procurement operations.\nEthics and Compliance\nEnsure procurement activities adhere to ethical and compliance standards, company policy and procedures including the MPRDA, Mining Charter 2018 and BEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) and all Law requirements in South Africa.\nEnsure that actions and decisions taken do not bring the company into disrepute. \nPurchase Order Processing\nCollect and analyse procurement data to identify areas for process improvement and cost savings.\nGenerate regular reports on procurement metrics and key performance indicators.\nProficient in MS suite, Excel, Words etc.\nGenerate and process purchase orders for required goods and services.\nExpediate, Monitor and track order status to ensure timely execution of on-time delivery in full (OTIF).\nMaintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information.\nGenerate regular reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, savings, and supplier performance.\nRequirements\nMinimum Requirements:\nQualifications:\nGrade 12 (National Senior Certificate).\nCharted Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or a National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Commerce, Purchasing, Supply Chain or Finance.\nJob specific experience:\nMinimum of 3-5 years’ experience, preferably in the Mining or Heavy Industry environment is advantageous.\nInherent
