Working closely with colleagues across Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain, you'll help ensure products move smoothly from materials through to finished goods.\nThis is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend time supporting your team on the shop floor, solving problems, improving processes and creating a culture where people can perform at their best.\n\nWhat you'll be doing\nLeading Safe and Effective Operations\nCreating and maintaining a safe, compliant and positive working environment.\nEnsuring all production and stores activities are carried out in line with health, safety and environmental standards.\nConducting safety inspections, audits and risk assessments.\nInvestigating incidents and near misses, implementing effective corrective actions.\nPromoting a proactive safety culture where everyone takes ownership of safe working practices.\nDriving Production & Stores Performance\nSupervising daily production, stores and picking activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets.\nMonitoring operational performance and taking action to resolve issues quickly and effectively.\nCoordinating labour and resources to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.\nEnsuring customer requirements and production schedules are consistently achieved.\nEscalating operational challenges appropriately and supporting rapid resolution.\nChampioning Quality\nEnsuring products are manufactured and delivered to the required standards and specifications.\nSupporting investigations into quality issues, defects and non-conformances.\nDriving a \"right first time\" approach throughout the team.\nEnsuring adherence to standard operating procedures and quality controls.\nLeading root cause analysis and supporting effective corrective actions.\nImproving Processes\nMonitoring key performance indicators and identifying opportunities to improve performance.\nApplying Lean principles such as 5S, visual management and waste reduction to improve efficiency and flow.\nSupporting the introduction of new products and engineering changes into production.\nWorking collaboratively with Engineering and Quality teams to implement and sustain improvements.\nEnsuring equipment, tooling and test systems remain fit for purpose and safely utilised.\nDeveloping People\nLeading, coaching and motivating production and stores team members.\nSupporting recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development activities.\nConducting regular team briefings, performance conversations and reviews.\nManaging attendance, employee relations and performance matters in line with company policies.\nBuilding a culture of accountability, teamwork, respect and continuous learning.\nWhat you'll bring\nExperience leading, coaching and developing teams within a manufacturing, production, warehouse or operational environment.\nA strong understanding of production processes, workflow management and operational performance.\nKnowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, visual management and continuous improvement techniques.\nExperience using operational data and KPIs to drive performance improvements.\nGood IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.\nStrong communication and problem-solving abilities.\nA proactive and organised approach with the ability to prioritise effectively.\nA commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service.\nThe ability to build positive relationships and bring people together to achieve shared goals.\nWhy join Tharsus?\nAt Tharsus, you'll be joining a business where people matter.
