If you’re a passionate and driven individual who is excited about developing advanced cloud solutions that keep our nation at the forefront of space systems capabilities, consider joining our team of talented engineers.\nWork Model\nThis is a full-time position that will require 5 days/week onsite work in Chantilly, VA.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nProviding cloud subject matter expertise to DoD, IC, and Civil Space customers\nDeveloping proof-of-concept prototypes to help customers understand the latest cloud technologies\nDesigning and implementing cloud-based solutions to meet customer and mission needs\nProviding guidance on reference cloud architectures and best practices for the space enterprise\nConducting cloud architecture reviews of customer mission systems\nConducting research of tools and cloud services to inform stakeholders of ideal or alternative solutions\nGrowing departmental knowledge through work, training assignments, and presentations\nWhat You Need to be Successful - Engineering Specialist\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in STEM, with an emphasis in Computer Science or other related sciences/engineering discipline\n7 or more years of relevant experience with designing and implementing cloud-based systems to meet business or mission needs\nProven experience with Azure cloud technologies\nExperience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g. Jenkins, Argo)\nFamiliarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)\nFamiliarity with cloud security concepts (e.g., network security, identity and access management)\nProficient in at least one programming language such as Python or Go\nAbility to collaborate and communicate effectively in a cross-functional matrix organization\nActive TS/SCI clearance issued by the U.S. Government, with ability to obtain SAP\nHow You Can Stand Out\nIt would be impressive if you have one or more of these:\nAdvanced degree in Computer Science or other sciences/engineering discipline\nHands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud systems supporting real users\nProven experience with other Cloud service providers (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud)\nExperience working directly with clients to define requirements, assess Cloud and/or software solutions, and provide guidance, insights, and recommendations\nResponsible for deploying, assessing, and/or maintaining Cloud systems and applications in classified environments\nWorking knowledge of every layer in a cloud technology stack (e.g., virtualization infrastructure, operating systems, application hosting platforms, cloud native application design)\nCertifications related to cloud computing (e.g., Azure Developer Associate)\nSAP issued by the U.S. Government\nWe offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.
