Join us and take your place in space.\nThe Aerospace Corporation is hiring an Enterprise Systems Engineer for the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) in the Enterprise Effects Division (EED). This is an onsite opportunity in El Segundo, CA.\nThe Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace’s strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a wide-ranging and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.\nAs part of the Enterprise Design Subdivision (EDS), the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) drives responsive and comprehensive trades in customer portfolios. Working closely with corporate program offices PAD delivers portfolio decision insights that expand options for senior leaders and accelerates delivery of end effects. PAD integrates expertise, system analysis and design capabilities from across the corporation.\nThis position will follow an in-person 100% onsite work required at Aerospace campus in El Segundo, CA.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nProvide enterprise engineering and analytical support to defense, intelligence community, and civil government customers in portfolio management, digital engineering, and enterprise systems engineering\nEngage directly with Aerospace program office personnel as well as government customers\nSupport the deployment or implementation of existing tools, models, and frameworks\nIdentify new capabilities and enhancements that will better support the customer programs and architectures\nSupport studies designed to solve complex problems and provide new and innovative technical solutions\nTake initiative to inform management of perceived technical problems and recommend courses of action\nUtilize Aerospace resources, teams, and expertise on the effective use of MBSE methodologies, modeling languages, and tools\nLead and support studies designed to solve technical problems to provide recommendations to the customer \nLeverage Aerospace’s technical backplane to provide tailored, technical support and innovative solutions for customer-specific use cases\nProvide ongoing technical consultation and advice to management, customers, and contractors\nProvide mentoring and oversight to early career staff, as necessary\nOccasional travel may be required\nWhat You Need to be Successful\nMinimum Requirements for the Member of the Technical Staff - Enterprise Systems Engineering\nBachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or other related technical discipline\nTypically, at least 3 years of increasingly responsible experience in systems engineering or other space-related engineering disciplines \nExperience in systems engineering, enterprise systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, and/or digital engineering\nExcellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects\nTake initiative, have flexibility, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment \nExcellent interpersonal skills and well adept at oral and written communication\nAvailable and willing to travel domestically, approx. 5-10%\nActive TS//SCI security clearance\nHow You Can Stand Out\nIt would be impressive if you have one or more of these:\nAdvanced degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or other related technical discipline\nDemonstrated leadership of broad multidisciplinary teams conducting technical evaluations of complex systems; cost, schedule and risk analysis; portfolio-level trade studies; and requirements development\nExperience with and/or working knowledge of the Aerospace Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) span of technical capabilities and organizational construct \nExperience with DoD systems engineering and programmatic processes, methods, tools, and personnel \nExperience briefing senior Government leaders (General Officer and/or SES/SIS)\nWe offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.
