For more information, please visit www.andersonsinc.com.\nPosition Summary\nThe Renewables/Ethanol Production Worker role supports key areas of ethanol production, including cook, distillation, energy center, and DCS operations, while assisting with corn grinding, fermentation, distillation, evaporation, dryer, and boiler processes. Responsibilities include monitoring Renewables production processes, adjusting equipment or inputs as directed, and performing product sampling, lab testing, and documentation. The position also involves maintaining accurate production records, operating mobile equipment, and completing general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and cleaning to support safe and efficient operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on, safety-focused individual who enjoys working in a production environment, monitoring processes, operating equipment, and contributing to the efficient production of renewable fuels through teamwork, attention to detail, and continuous learning.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform processing functions in the cook, distillation, energy center and/or distributed control system (DCS) areas of ethanol production with assistance\nPerform activities relating to processing functions such as corn grinding and cook operations, yeast and fermentation quality control, yeast, distillation, evaporation, dryer and boiler operations\nMonitor production processes and adjust equipment settings or raw materials inputs as directed to ensure the optimal efficiency in the production process\nPerform general product sampling, lab testing, document results, and report findings to crew leadership and/or laboratory personnel\nMaintain documentation and record key production data as directed\nOperate various types of mobile equipment\nPerform general housekeeping tasks\nWhat is Expected of You and Others at This Level\nHas basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process\nWorks within clearly defined standard operations procedures and or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines\nWorks with close supervision\nCompetencies Expected of You and Others at This Level\nCollaborates - Builds partnerships and works cooperatively with others to achieve shared objectives\nEnsures Accountability - Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments\nBeing Resilient - Rebounds from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations\nCustomer Focus - Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer centric solutions\nValues Differences - Recognizes the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization\nOptimizes Work Processes - Knows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement\nInstills Trust - Gains the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity\nEducation & Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred\n0-2 years’ relevant experience required\nBasic computer operation and data entry skills\nAbility to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver’s license preferred\nPrevious production experience preferred\nPhysical Requirements and Working Environment\nWork is performed in a 24x7 Ethanol production facility\nProduction team works 12-hour shifts; two small crews scheduled per day, includes a day and night shift.\nWork schedule includes weekend and holiday work. Shift assignment will be consistent. Must be flexible to work either day or night shift based on business needs.
