The Atlantic is an influential American magazine and digital publication based in Washington, D.C., renowned for its in-depth commentary, long-form journalism, and cultural analysis. Founded in 1857 in Boston by leading literary figures including Ralph Waldo Emerson and James Russell Lowell, it has a rich history of covering critical social issues, political ideas, and foreign affairs.
