You'll spend the majority of your time designing beautiful, conversion-focused experiences for Shopify, from full ecommerce builds to smaller project work, while occasionally turning your hand to internal Barn creative and broader digital design. \nYou'll be comfortable working across a range of brand styles, collaborating closely with developers and account teams, and bringing a sharp eye for detail to everything from a homepage hero to a product page layout. experience\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign custom Shopify themes, landing pages, and UI components for client ecommerce sites\nTranslate client briefs and brand guidelines into engaging, conversion-focused web designs\nPresent and articulate design decisions to clients and internal stakeholders\nWork on roadmap Shopify projects from concept through to handoff, including responsive designs for desktop and mobile\nCollaborate closely with developers to ensure designs are feasible and pixel-perfect in implementation\nSupport internal Barn marketing and brand work (social content, website updates, pitch decks, case studies)\nOccasionally lead non-ecommerce digital design projects (websites, branding, digital campaigns)\nStay current with ecommerce design trends, Shopify platform updates, and UX best practices\nLeverage AI design tools (e.g. Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT) to enhance and accelerate creative workflows where appropriate\nRequirements\nProven experience designing for ecommerce, ideally Shopify\nStrong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX skills for web (desktop and mobile)\nProficiency in Figma (or similar design tools)\nUnderstanding of responsive design principles and basic awareness of how designs translate to development\nStrong typography, layout, and visual branding skills\nExcellent communication and time-management skills, able to juggle multiple projects\nA collaborative, can-do attitude and willingness to support varied tasks across the agency\nFamiliarity with AI-powered design tools and a curiosity for how AI can improve design processes and output quality\nNice to Have\nExperience with Shopify Liquid or theme structure basics\nMotion design or basic video editing skills\nExperience working in an agency
