Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.\nResponsibilities\nPoint of contact for all HR matters such as but not limited to benefits, compensation, training, payroll, and employee relations.\nManage performance, investigations, make recommendations for corrective action, and lead terminations.\nMaintain a productive relationship with managers in UAE; meet regularly to discuss morale, areas of improvement, and performance.\nReview and respond to matters complex in nature that have been escalated due to risk, urgency, or severity.\nManage the integration, configuration, and administration of HR systems.\nOutline team priorities and timelines and manage team performance toward achieving goals. \nPrimary point of contact for entire UAE operation.\nKey partner with HR operations on HR systems including onboarding, workers' compensation, and LOA management\nApprove time cards, modify pay rates, implement one-off payments, and ensure payment of salaried and hourly employees bi-weekly.\nFacilitate the new-hire onboarding process, including generating offer letters, and auditing background checks.\nLead HR initiatives and projects.\nSet up and work with legal to outline and comply with legal requirements as required by UAE Labor Law.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree.\n5+ years of experience in an HR leadership or Senior HRBP position.\n5+ years of HR experience in the UAE\nStrong working knowledge of UAE labor laws and work requirements\nPreferred Skills and Experience\n8+ years of experience in an HR leadership position.\nAcute attention to detail and strong multitasking skills.\nAbility to work independently and with little direction.\nAbility to quickly and reasonably prioritize tasks.\nStrong communications skills with the ability to communicate with internal/external customers, vendors, management etc. in both formal and informal situations.\nAn analytical mindset that thrives on formulating strategy and presenting data.\nHighly organized with a strong sense of urgency.\nAdditional Requirements\nPosition may require extended hours and weekend work.\nAble to travel for short and extended trips as needed.
