Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.\nAs the first hire System Administrator in Nashville you will be responsible for everything from system deployment to troubleshooting (often inside the tunnel), workstation, VOIP, network and helpdesk/end-user support in a rapidly advancing site environment. This position provides an opportunity for a motivated individual to expand their skill set while being introduced to the entire IT service and support stack.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, deploy and manage construction and tunnel network, server, and end-user equipment.\nDiscover end-user needs, implement innovative solutions, and adapt as requirements evolve.\nProvide end-user support for O365, Gsuite, VMS, Windows, Ubuntu, printers, network appliances.\nManage device inventory and provisioning for new users.\nPhysically deploy and maintain network gear in tunnels + surface sites.\nRack/stack servers, switches, firewalls, network equipment, cameras.\nRun/terminate cabling where needed.\nTroubleshoot network and systems in a rugged construction environment.\nMaintain infrastructure supporting TBM operations.\nDiagnose hardware failures in the field.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s or equivalent work experience.\n5+ yrs experience in Systems Administration / similar roles.\nProven experience in site-based work (I.e. in the field, troubleshooting on the ground).\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nAbility to handle a rapidly changing set of requirements and schedules.\nExperience building or maintaining network, OS, printing, application support in a small/medium sized business.\nExperience automating repetitive tasks.\nComfortable with occasional physical work, carrying servers, ec\nFamiliarity with disk imaging and software deployment tools.\nWorking knowledge of common cloud services: O365, Gsuite.\nBasic exposure to Active Directory and DNS management.\nExcellent problem-solving skills with a practical solutions-based approach.\nAdditional Requirements\nAbility to work long hours and weekends as necessary.\nWillingness to learn new skills and grow into greater responsibility.\nOK with confined spaces (occasionally entering the tunnels)\nCulture\nWe're a team of dedicated, smart, and scrappy people.
