Working under the guidance of Engineering leadership, you will assist with the repair, installation, replacement, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration (HVAC/R), and electrical equipment. This role requires adherence to The Broadmoor's Five-Star and Five-Diamond service standards, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal impact on the guest experience. Other duties may be assigned:\nInspect HVAC and electrical equipment to ensure proper operation and report abnormal conditions to Engineering leadership.\nPerform preventive maintenance on guest room HVAC units and related systems, including cleaning equipment, lubricating motors, and replacing air filters as needed.\nMaintain the cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms, equipment, tools, and work areas.\nAccurately document maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts utilized.\nFollow all departmental, safety, and environmental policies while working efficiently and professionally.\nDevelop proficiency in the use of trade tools, testing instruments, and diagnostic equipment.\nUtilize the Building Automation System (BAS) to monitor equipment performance, identify issues, and make operational adjustments under supervision.\nRead and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and BAS documentation.\nAssist with the installation, repair, replacement, operation, and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems.\nSupport troubleshooting efforts by identifying and reporting HVAC/R equipment and control system deficiencies.\nAssist with water treatment procedures and preventative maintenance programs for applicable systems.\nPerform basic electrical maintenance, including resetting circuit breakers, wiring switches and outlets, and replacing lighting components.\nMaintain and repair interior, exterior, and landscape lighting systems.\nAssist with inventory management, including tracking and organizing parts and materials.\nSupport the maintenance and repair of guestroom televisions, telephones, and related equipment.\nAssist Convention Services with electrical and power requirements for meetings, events, and special functions.\nEnsure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond).\nMaintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.\nExecute additional duties and responsibilities as required.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned. - This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job.
