are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position in the Logistics Department within the Operations Division:\nLogistics Coordinator\nThe incumbent is responsible for coordinating and managing all import and export logistics activities to ensure shipments are processed, cleared, and delivered accurately, compliantly, and within established KPIs, while maintaining high standards of customer service and cost control.\nSome Main Responsibilities include:\nEnsure all documentation relating to import transactions is processed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with Customs Laws and regulatory requirements.\nReview shipping documents against purchase orders and government purchase orders to verify pricing, descriptions, quantities, and compliance requirements.\nManage government purchase order drawdowns and perform monthly reconciliations with customs brokers.\nManage advanced shipment files and secure Bills of Lading, Airway Bills, and supporting documents for pre-clearance activities.\nVerify piece counts and shipment details against commercial and CARICOM invoices.\nEnsure customs values, duty rates, VAT calculations, and CIF values are accurate.\nMaintain and update the CET listing and tariff classifications.\nManage specialized import requirements including permits, licenses, concessions, chemical drawdowns, and notices of approval.\nCoordinate customs declaration processes to minimize delays, penalties, storage, rent, and demurrage costs.\nSecure marine insurance coverage for applicable shipments.\nInvestigate stock losses, customs discrepancies, rent, demurrage, and other shipment-related issues.\nAdminister claims processes and provide supporting documentation for settlement.\nMaintain accurate shipment logs and import status reports.\nPrepare quotations, proforma invoices, and shipping documentation for export orders.\nCoordinate export shipments, including direct exports, drop shipments, HES exports, and customer orders.\nManage local and international export requirements, including returns, repairs, cold-chain shipments, and specialized export activities.\nPrepare and process Certificates of Origin and other export documentation through relevant government platforms.\nInvestigate and resolve export-related issues, claims, customer complaints, and service failures.\nPerform other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.\nQualification, Experience and Requirement:\nA minimum of five (5) CXC passes, including Mathematics and English Language\nDiploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field OR a recognized professional certification in Shipping, Customs, Freight Forwarding, or International Trade, combined with relevant work experience will be an asset\nA minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a shipping/customs/logistics environment.\nStrong knowledge of import/export procedures and customs regulations\nKnowledge of classifications will be an asset.\nOr relevant combination of training and experience\nBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Work, Excel and Power point\nA valid Police Certificate of Good Character.\nKey Competencies:\nGeneral knowledge of custom laws and government regulations\nExcellent planning, organization and time management skills\nDemonstrates
