Make history with us.\nBakery Processing Operator\nLocation: Hanover, Pennsylvania\nShift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Monday - Friday\nStarting Pay: $22.50/hour + $1.00 Shift Differential\nHOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…\nAs a Bakery Processing Operator, you will help produce high-quality bakery products by safely and efficiently operating processing equipment while ensuring a continuous flow of product to packaging lines. Your attention to quality, safety, and operational excellence will directly contribute to meeting production goals and delivering exceptional products to customers.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO…\nOperate bakery processing equipment to produce products within established quality and food safety standards.\nProperly mix ingredients and monitor product temperature, moisture levels, mix times, and ingredient weights.\nMake equipment and process adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency.\nMonitor production flow and remove improperly formed or non-conforming products.\nRead and follow batch sheets, recipes, and production instructions accurately.\nOperate, shut down, and perform changeovers on bakery processing equipment according to established procedures.\nAssist with preventative maintenance activities and basic troubleshooting of equipment.\nMonitor for potential foreign material contamination and escalate concerns appropriately.\nCommunicate quality, safety, or operational issues to leadership and team members.\nComplete required production records, logs, and documentation accurately.\nFollow sanitation procedures during cleanups and changeovers, including proper chemical handling.\nTrack, manage, and properly dispose of production waste.\nMove raw materials and ingredients using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.\nMaintain appropriate raw material inventory levels and communicate material needs to appropriate personnel.\nUnload raw material deliveries and trailers safely and efficiently.\nMonitor seasoning application levels and make adjustments when applicable.\nMaintain housekeeping and 5S standards by keeping work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.\nFollow all safety policies and procedures, report defective equipment, and immediately report workplace injuries.\nSupport mandatory overtime and perform additional duties as assigned.\nWHO YOU WILL WORK WITH…\nBakery Processing Team Members\nPackaging and Production Operators\nQuality Assurance Team\nMaintenance Technicians\nWarehouse and Material Handling Teams\nProduction Supervisors and Operations Leadership\nWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)\nAbility to safely operate in a manufacturing or production environment.\nAbility to read, understand, and follow work instructions, recipes, batch sheets, and operational procedures.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and food safety.\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to work independently and make sound decisions within established guidelines.\nAbility to perform the physical requirements of the role, including frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, humidity, moving machinery, and varying production conditions.\nWillingness to work overtime as needed.\nIT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nPrevious manufacturing, food production, bakery, or processing experience.\nExperience operating processing or production equipment.\nExperience with troubleshooting equipment and performing minor adjustments.\nForklift and/or pallet jack operating experience.\nKnowledge of food safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).\nExperience with preventative maintenance, changeovers, and production documentation.\nContinuous improvement or 5S experience.\nPhysical & Work Environment\nFrequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, carrying, and repetitive motion activities.\nContinuous use of hands and frequent material handling activities.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 25 pounds continuously and up to 50 pounds occasionally.\nHeavier lifting may be required with assistance.\nRegular exposure to moving mechanical equipment, wet and humid conditions, and elevated noise levels.\nOccasional exposure to heights, airborne particles, and cleaning chemicals.\nIndividual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
