Strong attendance and punctuality are required.\nHOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…\nAs a Bakery Processing Operator, you will help keep our bakery operation running safely, efficiently, and continuously. You will operate and monitor bakery processing equipment, maintain the flow of quality product to packaging lines, make routine equipment and process adjustments, troubleshoot issues, and maintain accurate production records.\nYour attention to safety, quality, sanitation, and operational consistency will help ensure we deliver products that meet established standards every day.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO…\nSafely operate bakery processing equipment to produce products in accordance with established Quality Assurance guidelines and quality standards.\nMix ingredients according to recipes and batch sheets, including accurately weighing raw materials.\nMonitor product temperature, moisture, mix times, item numbers, raw material weights, and piece weights, making adjustments as needed.\nInspect product throughout processing and remove product that is improperly formed, overlapped, or otherwise does not meet quality expectations.\nMonitor for potential foreign material and communicate or escalate quality concerns to the appropriate team members.\nStart, operate, change over, and shut down bakery processing equipment according to established procedures.\nPerform routine equipment adjustments, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities within the scope of the role.\nFollow sanitation procedures during cleanups and product changeovers, including proper chemical handling.\nTrack, handle, and dispose of production waste according to established procedures.\nMaintain appropriate raw material levels and communicate material needs to the appropriate team members.\nUnload raw materials and move ingredients using material-handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.\nWhen applicable, monitor seasoning coverage and make adjustments to maintain established product standards.\nMaintain accurate production and processing records.\nFollow all safety, hygiene, housekeeping, and 5S procedures, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment.\nMaintain clean, organized work areas and keep aisles and exits free of obstructions.\nFollow established safe lifting and material-handling practices.\nIdentify and report defective equipment, unsafe conditions, and work-related injuries in accordance with established procedures.\nWork mandatory overtime when required to support business and production needs.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWHO YOU WILL WORK WITH…\nYou will work as part of the bakery and production operation, coordinating with team members responsible for processing, packaging, Quality Assurance, sanitation, maintenance, and material handling. Clear communication will be important for maintaining product quality, addressing equipment or process issues, and ensuring raw materials are available to keep production moving.\nWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)\nAbility to safely operate in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment and established safety procedures.\nAbility to read, write, understand numbers, follow directions, and complete production records.\nAbility to follow recipes, batch sheets, operating procedures, sanitation requirements, and safety guidelines.\nAbility to troubleshoot routine production issues and make appropriate equipment or process adjustments.\nAbility to work independently using appropriate judgment while also collaborating effectively with production team members.\nAbility to use material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks and, when required and appropriately trained/authorized, forklifts.\nAbility to work mandatory overtime as required.\nAbility to work in an environment that may be loud, wet, or humid and may involve occasional exposure to elevated areas, fumes or airborne particles, and caustic chemicals.\nAbility to meet the physical requirements of the position, including continuous standing, use of hands, reaching, pushing, bending, fine-motor activity, and visual attention; frequent walking, carrying, overhead work, and repetitive twisting; and occasional climbing, squatting, and kneeling.\nAbility to continuously lift, carry, or push up to 25 pounds and occasionally handle heavier loads with required assistance. Loads approaching or exceeding 100 pounds must be handled with assistance and in accordance with established safety practices.\nIT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nAt least 1 year of production experience in a manufacturing environment.\nPrevious experience operating food or bakery processing equipment.\nExperience with production changeovers, preventive maintenance, sanitation procedures, and manufacturing recordkeeping.\nPrevious experience using forklifts or pallet jacks.\nIndividual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
