Good attendance and punctuality are essential.\nHOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…\nAs a Packaging Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of packaging equipment that delivers high-quality snack products to our customers. You will help drive production excellence by operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing packaging machinery while upholding the highest standards for food safety, quality, and workplace safety.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO…\nOperate, monitor, and troubleshoot packaging machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production.\nRead and interpret production schedules, including schedules within MicroStrategy, and plan machine operation accordingly.\nPrint and manage labels using multiple printer systems and perform routine printer cleaning and adjustments.\nMonitor codes, dates, pricing information, and package integrity to ensure product compliance and accuracy.\nPerform nitrogen testing, metal detector verification, batch order verification, and other required quality checks.\nMaintain an adequate supply of packaging materials, including roll stock and related consumables.\nSet up packaging equipment, perform machine changeovers, and create or modify machine programs as required.\nWrite, edit, and maintain machine logic and code date configurations to support efficient and low-waste production.\nPerform preventative maintenance and minor repairs, adjustments, and equipment setup activities.\nCalibrate scales, adjust scale linkages, modify formers, and ensure weighing systems are functioning properly.\nOperate supporting packaging equipment, including case sealers, robotic cells, and related automated systems.\nMonitor machine performance to ensure standard operating speeds, proper film cutoffs, and acceptable package seals.\nMonitor product appearance and adhere to established weight control standards.\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve packaged product quality issues.\nProperly account for product run-off and rework recoverable product according to established procedures.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment by cleaning machines and production areas as required.\nReport maintenance concerns, equipment malfunctions, safety issues, and quality concerns promptly.\nFollow all food safety, sanitation, safety, and housekeeping procedures.\nSafely store materials and maintain clear aisles, exits, and workspaces.\nFollow proper lifting, carrying, and material-handling procedures.\nProvide guidance and direction to Packagers when needed.\nServe as a backup Packaging Coordinator or other skilled production role when qualified.\nSupport seasoning operations when assigned by monitoring and replenishing overhead seasoning systems.\nWork mandatory overtime as needed and perform equivalent.\nMinimum one (1) year of production experience in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to safely operate packaging and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nBasic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform equipment adjustments, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.\nAbility to read and interpret production schedules, operating procedures, and work instructions.\nStrong attention to detail with a commitment to product quality and food safety standards.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work a flexible schedule, including mandatory overtime when required.\nAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.\nAbility to frequently lift up to 60 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds with appropriate assistance.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, noise, humidity, temperature variations, and other production-related conditions.\nCommitment to following all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.\nIT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)\nExperience operating automated packaging equipment in a food manufacturing environment.\nExperience with vertical form-fill-seal equipment, scales, case sealers, robotic cells, or related packaging systems.\nExperience using MicroStrategy or other production scheduling systems.\nKnowledge of machine programming, micro logic editing, or code date management.\nExperience performing preventative maintenance and equipment calibrations.\nForklift and pallet jack experience.\nExperience leading, training, or providing direction to production team members.\nKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and quality systems.\nExperience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and waste reduction efforts.\nIndividual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
