Make history with us.\nShift: 3rd Shift\nPay: $21.40/hour\nSchedule: Starting times and hours may vary based on attendance coverage, production schedules, and seasonal business needs, including holidays.\nHOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…\nAs a Packaging Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality products to consumers by operating packaging equipment safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will help maximize production output, minimize waste, maintain quality standards, and provide leadership on the packaging line to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO…\nPackaging Equipment Operations\nSafely operate and monitor snack packaging machinery to support continuous production.\nReview production schedules and plan equipment and material needs accordingly.\nMonitor packaging codes, dates, and pricing information to ensure product accuracy.\nMaintain adequate supplies of roll stock and packaging materials.\nAdjust machine settings and micro-logic controls to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.\nPerform machine setups, startups, shutdowns, sanitation activities, and product changeovers.\nPlan and execute efficient changeovers between products to minimize downtime.\nQuality & Production Monitoring\nMonitor machine performance to ensure production standards are met. \nVerify proper film cutoffs and package seal integrity, including end seals and back seals. \nMonitor product weights and appearance to ensure compliance with quality specifications. \nEnsure machines operate at standard production speeds. \nProperly account for product run-off and coordinate rework of acceptable product. \nMaintain accurate product quality standards throughout the shift. \nEquipment Care & Troubleshooting\nKeep packaging machines and surrounding work areas clean and organized. \nPerform routine equipment cleaning and blow-down activities as required. \nIdentify equipment issues and immediately notify Maintenance or Production Leadership. \nSupport troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime and improve productivity. \nLeadership & Team Support\nProvide leadership and direction to the packaging line. \nSupport and coordinate activities with Packers and other production team members. \nServe as a backup Packaging Coordinator or other technical/skilled positions when qualified. \nMonitor and replenish seasoning systems, where applicable, to ensure proper product coverage. \nSafety, Sanitation & Housekeeping\nFollow all safety, food safety, and hygiene policies and procedures. \nMaintain clean and organized work areas. \nStore supplies and materials in designated locations. \nKeep aisles, exits, and workspaces clear and free from obstructions. \nFollow safe lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling procedures. \nReport safety concerns, equipment issues, and workplace injuries promptly. \nAdditional Responsibilities\nWork overtime as required to support business needs. \nPerform other duties and and help ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. \nWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)\nHigh School Diploma or GED and/or one (1) year of manufacturing or production experience. \nAbility to safely operate packaging and production equipment. \nMechanical aptitude and ability to learn machine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting techniques. \nAbility to read and follow production schedules and work instructions. \nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. \nAbility to provide leadership and direction to production team members. \nStrong communication and teamwork skills. \nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. \nAbility to frequently lift, push, pull, carry, and move materials throughout the shift. \nAbility to regularly lift 40+ pounds and occasionally move heavier loads with assistance. \nWillingness to work varying schedules and mandatory overtime as required. \nIT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)\nPrevious packaging machine operation experience. \nExperience in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments. \nExperience performing machine setups, product changeovers, and equipment adjustments. \nExperience leading production teams or serving in a lead operator role. \nKnowledge of packaging film systems, bagging equipment, and automated packaging machinery. \nExperience troubleshooting production equipment. \nForklift and pallet jack experience. \nFamiliarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, and 5S principles. \nExperience serving as a Packaging Coordinator or similar technical production role. \nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nManufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical equipment and machinery. \nFrequent exposure to wet and humid conditions. \nOccasional exposure to elevated work areas, airborne particles, and cleaning chemicals. \nLoud production environment requiring adherence to PPE and safety requirements. \nFrequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements throughout the shift. \nAbility to routinely handle materials weighing up to 60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. \nIndividual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
