Employees must remain in position for a minimum of one year and successfully complete a 90-day evaluation period.\nHOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…\nAs an Unassigned Makeup and Packaging Bake Shop Helper, you will help keep bakery production running safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. You may work in a variety of makeup and packaging positions and will play an important role in producing, packaging, and preparing quality bakery products while meeting food safety, operational, and production requirements.\nYou will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where flexibility, teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and food quality are essential.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO…\nWork in various makeup and packaging positions based on operational needs, which may include Makeup Helper, Moulder Operator, Divider Operator, Oven Operator, Lidder, Pan Operator/Pan Area, Slicer/Feeder, Bagger, Caser, or Packaging Helper.\nRack and unrack products as needed to support production flow.\nOperate assigned production and packaging equipment, including bagger and Kwik Lok equipment.\nFeed product into slicer or bagger flights and package finished product into baskets or cases while maintaining required line speed.\nMonitor bags, packaging materials, product codes, and finished products for quality, accuracy, proper wrapping, and packaging.\nUnderstand and follow the code board to help ensure accurate product coding and traceability.\nMaintain specified product weights when operating the divider.\nSet up ovens and proofers according to product centerlining and CTS requirements.\nFollow exact formula specifications and established procedures to maintain product quality and ensure label contents are accurate.\nIdentify operational or quality issues, exercise sound judgment, and communicate concerns promptly to supervision.\nComplete required daily communication boards.\nMaintain strong awareness of product contamination risks, allergen controls, lot-code traceability, and other food safety requirements.\nFollow HACCP, CTS, SOP, GMP, JSA, safety, and other applicable plant procedures and standards.\nMaintain your work area according to 5S cleanliness, housekeeping, and organizational standards.\nUse required personal protective equipment and follow plant safety requirements and operating procedures.\nAssist other positions and production areas when needed.\nAdapt to changing production priorities and high-pressure operating situations.\nWork overtime when necessary to support operations.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWHO YOU WILL WORK WITH…\nYou will work closely with Bake Shop supervision and other production, makeup, packaging, quality, and plant team members to maintain safe and efficient operations.\nSuccess in this position requires clear communication, teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to quickly raise and resolve production, safety, food safety, and quality concerns.\nWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)\nHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent.\nTwo years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nStrong decision-making and communication skills.\nAbility to exercise good judgment and promptly communicate issues to supervision.\nAbility to understand and consistently follow food safety, quality, formula-control, and operating requirements.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team in a changing, fast-paced production environment.\nAbility to stand for extended periods.\nAbility to use hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle products, and operate or manipulate materials and equipment.\nAbility to walk, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required by the position.\nAbility to use appropriate senses to identify and troubleshoot operational problems.\nAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull wheeled pan trucks weighing up to 1,500 pounds.\nAbility to work around moving mechanical equipment and vibration and in environments that may include fumes, airborne particles, temperature extremes, high industrial noise, forklift traffic, and wet conditions.\nAbility to use prescribed personal protective equipment, which may include safety eyewear, safety shields, gloves, hearing protection, respirators, and approved footwear.\nAbility to work overtime when required to support operations.\nCommitment to complying with HACCP, CTS, SOP, GMP, JSA, 5S, safety, allergen-control, traceability, and other applicable plant standards and procedures.\nIT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)\nPrevious experience in bakery, food manufacturing, packaging, or production operations.\nExperience operating bakery makeup or packaging equipment such as dividers, moulders, ovens, proofers, slicers, baggers, or Kwik Lok equipment.\nFamiliarity with HACCP, GMP, 5S, allergen control, lot-code traceability, and food-manufacturing quality systems.\nExperience working in a high-speed production environment.\nKnowledge of product centerlining, formula control, packaging codes, label management, or production troubleshooting.\nIndividual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
