Make history with us.\nSalty Processing Operator\nLocation: Hanover, Pennsylvania\nShift: 3rd Shift | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Sunday - Thursday\nStarting Pay: $22.50/hour + $2.00 Shift Differential\nHOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…\nAs a Salty Processing Operator, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality products by safely and efficiently operating processing equipment while maintaining a continuous flow of product to packaging lines. Your attention to quality, troubleshooting expertise, and commitment to food safety and operational excellence help ensure consistent production performance and customer satisfaction.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO…\nOperate processing equipment to produce products within Quality Assurance standards and established production specifications.\nProperly mix ingredients and monitor temperature, moisture, and product consistency, making adjustments as needed.\nMonitor product flow and remove improperly formed or out-of-specification product.\nOperate, shut down, clean, and perform changeovers on processing equipment following established procedures.\nAssist with preventative maintenance activities and perform minor equipment adjustments and troubleshooting.\nRead and accurately follow batch sheets, recipes, and production instructions.\nMonitor and document temperatures, mix times, item numbers, and raw material weights and make process adjustments as needed.\nMonitor for potential foreign material contamination and escalate concerns appropriately.\nFollow sanitation procedures for equipment cleanups, changeovers, and chemical handling.\nTrack and properly dispose of waste according to company procedures.\nMove raw materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as required.\nMaintain appropriate raw material levels and communicate inventory needs to production leadership.\nUnload raw material deliveries and trailers safely and efficiently.\nMaintain inventory and proper disposal procedures for cutter blades while ensuring Urschel Heads operate efficiently.\nTest and receive new oil, filter and test used oil, and maintain proper oil levels in processing equipment.\nMaintain a working knowledge of heat exchanger systems and related processing equipment.\nMonitor seasoning application rates and make adjustments when applicable.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting 5S initiatives.\nFollow all food safety, safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).\nReport equipment concerns, safety hazards, and workplace injuries immediately.\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\nSupport mandatory overtime as aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to perform equipment setups, changeovers, and minor maintenance activities.\nAbility to accurately complete production logs and documentation.\nAbility to work independently and make sound operational decisions within established guidelines.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nAbility to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.\nWillingness to work overtime as business needs require.\nIT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nOne (1) year of manufacturing, processing, or production experience.\nPrevious experience operating food processing equipment.\nForklift and/or pallet jack operating experience.\nExperience with preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.\nKnowledge of GMPs, food safety requirements, sanitation procedures, and allergen controls.\nExperience working with production documentation and quality monitoring systems.\nExperience supporting continuous improvement or 5S initiatives.\nPhysical & Work Environment\nContinuous standing, walking, hand use, visual focus, and communication throughout the shift.\nFrequent reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, overhead work, carrying, and repetitive motion activities.\nOccasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, and ladder use.\nFrequent concentration, reading, writing, comprehension, and problem-solving while monitoring equipment and product quality.\nAbility to lift up to 10 pounds continuously, up to 25 pounds continuously, and up to 50 pounds frequently.\nAbility to lift up to 100 pounds seldom with assistance and over 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.\nRegular exposure to moving mechanical equipment and manufacturing machinery.\nFrequent exposure to wet and humid production environments.\nOccasional exposure to elevated work areas, airborne particles, and cleaning chemicals.\nLoud manufacturing environment requiring appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\nFast-paced production environment focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.\nIndividual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
