We are looking for an experienced engineer to work within our Mainframe PBM Technology organization who has experience with Mainframe COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, Teradata. This role provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Engineering matters, often requiring coordination between several PBM teams. In this role you will support the full software lifecycle of design, development, testing, and support for technical delivery. This role requires working with both onsite (Scrum Master, Product, QA and Developers) and offshore QA team members in properly defining testable scenarios based on requirements/acceptance criteria.\nResponsibilities\nBe hands-on in the design and development of robust solutions to hard problems, while considering scale, security, reliability, and cost\nSupport other product delivery partners in the successful build, test, and release of solutions\nBe part of a fast-moving team, working with the latest tools and open-source technologies\nWork on a development team using agile methodologies.\nUnderstand the Business and the Application Architecture End to End\nSolve problems by crafting software solutions using maintainable and modular code.\nParticipate & potentially lead daily team standup meetings where you'll give and receive updates on the current backlog and challenges.\nParticipate in code reviews. Ensure Code Quality and Deliverables\nProvide Impact analysis for new requirements or changes. Responsible for low level design with the team\nMay lead or manage sizable projects\nProvides thought leadership and technical expertise across the PBM technology organization\nThis role will act in a senior manner, potentially leading scrum teams, being held accountable for projects and mentoring junior team members. \nQualifications\nRequired Skills:\nRequires strong knowledge of the following technology skill sets - Mainframe COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, Teradata\nExperience designing and developing process-based solutions or BPM (business process management) \nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. \nStrong influencing/negotiation skills. \nStrong interpersonal/relationship skills. \nStrong time and project management skills. \nFamiliarity with agile methodology including SCRUM team leadership. \nFamiliarity with modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development, and specification by example. \nRequired Experience & Education:\n11+ years of experience in developing mainframe batch and online applications, utilizing Cobol/DB2/CICS/JCL/VSAM\nMaster’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Technology Management, or related field of study.\nDesired Experience:\nHealthcare experience including Disease Management\nCoaching of team members\nThese two sections will be “standardized” in the JD template and made not editable.\nLocation & Hours of Work\n< >Full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
