And that starts with finding the right talent to help us get there. \nResponsibilities:\nEnsure stability, performance, and availability of Mainframe systems by troubleshooting issues, implementing solutions, and collaborating with cross functional teams\nTechnologies span mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, and database\nProvide support, proactive system health management, test data management and maintenance for mainframe systems, including z/OS, JCL, COBOL, DB2, CICS and VSAM\nMonitor Mainframe performance and capacity utilization proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal system performance and high availability \nCollaborate with application developers, system programmers, and other IT teams to diagnose and resolve complex application or environment issues\nAbility to think outside of the box to simplify the current environment for better manageability and support\nActively participate and implement architectural changes, design and implementation of solutions to meet enterprise goals\nFlexibility to adopt a continuous learning mindset and flex to cover a diverse set of technology needs and professional development aspects\nContinuously drive improvement and optimization through retrospectives and stakeholder feedback\nProactively identify and develop training plans for knowledge gaps (technical or business-related) that limit team effectiveness\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive documentation including system diagrams, standard operating procedures and trouble shooting guides\nImplement and perform the use of effective change, incident, and problem management governance policies across all supported environments\nShould have an automation first and continuous improvement mindset\nExamples of Daily Activities:\nStrong Knowledge in JCL and Ability to modify the jobs as per request\nStrong Knowledge in VSAM ,IDCAMS and SORT utilities\nCICS Monitoring & management\nAbility to analysis the CICS abends and handle the CICS file management\nHandling and driving the MML line\nMainframe Batch Monitoring, Late Job Analysis & Abend fixing\nMainframe Job Scheduling - CA7 Scheduler\nDB2 Monitoring & management\nDB2 Tables Data refresh from Prod & taking backup for various Non-production environments\nStrong Knowledge in SQL abends \nAbility to replicate the Prod jobs in various Non-production environments\nHandling Contention & Space issues\nHandling JCL Overrides\nManual Triggering of Ad-hoc Jobs \nCreation of VSAM and Non-VSAM dataset\nFTP’ing the DSN between different LPARS\nAd-hoc Changes to existing Batch Schedules\nExecute & Monitor automated Refresh Task for various Non-prod environments\nKnowledge on SQL Queries\nKnowledge on Teradata DB\nHandling/Maintaining the DASD pool within the threshold level\nPerform Application Checkouts for various Non-prod environments\nL1 Support for Infrastructure Incidents\nPerforming pre-defined tasks & service requests\nCPU , SPOOL & Storage usage Monitoring\nQualifications:\nRequired Skills:\nExperience with mainframe utilities and tools used for monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning \nExperience with IW Teradata platform\nKnowledge of Mainframes security principles, access controls, and compliance requirements (e,g: HIPAA, PHI, IHI) to ensure system integrity and data protection\nTechnical skills to craft and execute your own programs and initiatives\nExperience with the microservices hosted on cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Openshift, etc)\nKnowledge of SDLC processes, including agile methodologies (Scrum & Kanban).\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment\nFlexibility to participate and respond to critical Incidents outside of regular business hours\nStrong commitment to quality, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction\nUnderstanding of ITIL Processes to implement change, resolve incidents and implement preventative measures\nRequired Experience & Education:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information technology or related field.
