Product Strategy Senior Director

Role Summary

Senior Directorrole, focused onleading Strategy and Execution, as well as management of a portfolioofProductsolutionssupportingone or more domains in EnterpriseServicing. This role will also leadelements ofStrategy andProduct,supporting Product work across the respectiveservicingdomains.

~6 Directors/Sr. Managerswill report into this role, with indirect reports at theSr. Manager leveland belowwith productmanagers/owners, product designers,anddeliverymanagementreporting intothose roles. There will be~30people inthe organization.In the first60 days, this resource willfocus on two primary activities: 1)rationalize the roles, teams, and resources in the inherited organization to optimize the function, and 2)implement an evolved operating model and product strategy for the space.

Direct Leadership Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing product discovery and helping focus teams on the best opportunities

• Responsible for setting the Product Strategy and ensuring that the customer ecosystem is evolving in line with the organization’s vision and how the industry is evolving

• Responsible forestablishingrelationships with customers/stakeholders and aligning the product strategy with thestakeholdersstrategy

• Responsible fordefiningthe product model operating model and setting teams up to be successful empowered product teams. This may includestandardization oftesting, tools, templates, roadmaps, etc.

• Responsible for evaluating the technology that is currentlyleveragedand working with architects to rationalize existing assets with build, buy, partner options

• Own the leadership connection, communication,and coordination with key contributorsso they understand our vision, approach,status, etc.

• Creating a culture of innovation and learning

• Responsible for partnering with internal audit to schedule and executeProduct auditsand develop mitigation plans in response to the outcomes

• Responsible for resource optimization & roster managementacross the Product teams, inclusive of matrixed resources

The Senior Director of Product Strategy is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of product initiatives that empower internal resources and enhance performance while lowering costs within Enterprise Operations. This role oversees a team of Product Managers working on empowered product teams, ensuring the delivery of innovative and impactful solutions that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive operational excellence.This role will also overseecomponents ofProduct Operations. The Senior Director will champion best practices, implementprocessesandleveragedata to enable the organization to deliver exceptional products that delight customers. A key focus area will beleveragingGenerative AI technologies to developcutting-edgesolutions that drive automation and intelligence within enterprise operations.

The Senior Director worksacross businessportfolios,solving problems and capitalizing on opportunities withsolutions designed to meet a variety of enterpriseoperationalneedsutilizingfull-stack engineering, generative AI, process engineering, and advanced analytics as required. The incumbent must be aware of other work being completed across all business portfolios so that they can drive synergistic solutioning and help teams proactively manage risks and dependencies. The Senior Director is responsible for the business outcomes created by a team working across multiple work areas or domains, utilizes in-depth professional knowledge but is guided by functional practices and well-defined management precedents, and focuses on implementing and executing strategies within own department/discipline/team. The Senior Director is also responsible forreviewand approval of defined vision, scope, and priority of multiple programs’backlogs. This leader also reviews,coachesand develops team members toassurethey have the skills and capabilities needed to produce products of the highest quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Vision

- Develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals andobjectives, with a strong emphasis on Generative AI and intelligent automation for speed to value and a focus on innovation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including business units, IT, data science teams, and executive leadership, to understand their needs and translate them into actionable product roadmaps.

-Identifyand prioritize product opportunities that drive operational efficiency, cost savings, process improvements, and intelligent automation within the enterprise.

- Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather insights to inform product strategy and decision-making.

Product Management Leadership

- Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers and Designerswith a heavy emphasis on coaching whilefostering acultureof innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Ensure the effective execution of product roadmaps by empowering product teams andprovidingstrategic guidance.

-Establishand maintain productmanagementbest practices, processes, and methodologies.

-Facilitatecross-functional collaboration and alignment among product teams, stakeholders, and other departments to ensure seamless product delivery.

Product Delivery and Execution

- Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing optimization, for internal enterprise solutions.

- Collaborate with development teams to ensuretimelyand high-quality product delivery while managing risks and dependencies.

- Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.

- Ensure products meet compliance, security, and regulatory requirements within the enterprise environment.

Stakeholder Management and Communication

- Build andmaintainstrong relationships with key stakeholders, including business unit leaders,enterprise operations,IT, data science teams, and executive management.

- Effectively communicate product strategies, roadmaps, and progress to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in.

- Represent the product organization in cross-functional meetings and strategic initiatives.

- Advocate for the needs and priorities of internal customers, ensuring their voices are heard and addressed in product decisions.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management,productoperationsor related roles,with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

- Proventrack recordof successfully leading and delivering complex enterprise-level products or solutions,preferablyincluding experience with Generative AI, analytics, or intelligent automation initiatives, as well as internal solutions for Operational functions.

- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a strong understandingofa breadthoftechnologies and their applications.

- Strong leadership and people management skills, witha focus on coaching andthe ability to inspire and motivate teams.

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.

- Deep understanding of product management methodologies, agile practices, and software development lifecycles, as well as how Empowered Product Teamsoperateto maximize value.

- Experience in enterprise operations, process optimization, and driving operational efficiency through the applicationis preferred.

- Entrepreneurial with either startup experience and/or driving new initiatives within a large organization

-Comfortable making decisions and driving clarity in the face of ambiguity and incomplete information

- Willingness to drive transformation in both how we approach problem-solving and the types of solutions we deliver

-Experience in healthcare or health servicespreferred

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
