This role converts business and technical requirements into certification plans, validates integrated workflows, troubleshoots issues, and supports a seamless client experience. The Specialist also evaluates repetitive manual testing and operational activities and develops controlled automation using open-source frameworks and scripting tools.\nQualifications required:\nBachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field and 5 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be considered.\nMinimum 2+ years of client onboarding, implementation, or systems integration experience.\nMinimum 3+ years of UAT, system integration, quality assurance, or enterprise application testing experience.\nHands-on REST and/or SOAP API testing, including JSON/XML payloads, HTTP methods and status codes, headers, authentication, business rules, and error handling.\nExperience with Postman, SoapUI, Swagger/OpenAPI tools, REST Assured, or comparable API testing solutions.\nExperience developing automated tests with open-source frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Robot Framework, Pytest, or comparable technologies.\nWorking knowledge of Windows- and Linux-based systems, IBM MQ, Connect:Direct, and FTP/SFTP technologies.\nProgramming or scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, Java, PowerShell, or a comparable language.\nStrong understanding of SDLC, quality assurance practices, defect management, and version control.\nAbility to analyze logs, payloads, queue activity, file-transfer records, and technical failures.\nDetail-oriented and organized, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.\nAbility to communicate clearly, work across organizational levels, and use Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project.\nEssential functions and responsibilities:\nLead client onboarding and implementation activities, ensuring timely and successful adoption of systems and products.\nPlan, coordinate, and execute UAT, system integration, regression, positive, negative, and end-to-end testing.\nTranslate business and technical requirements into certification plans, test cases, test data, acceptance criteria, and traceability documentation.\nTest REST and SOAP APIs and validate payloads, headers, authentication, status codes, business processing, and error responses.\nValidate web application workflows, navigation, field-level rules, access controls, permissions, and supported browser behavior.\nValidate IBM MQ messaging and Connect:Direct or FTP/SFTP transfers, including receipt, acknowledgments, naming conventions, permissions, and failure conditions.\nAnalyze logs, queues, payloads, transfer records, and environment details to isolate application, data, configuration, connectivity, or infrastructure issues.\nDocument and track defects with reproduction steps, expected and actual results, evidence, and business impact; coordinate resolution and retesting.\nDesign, develop, and maintain reusable automated tests, scripts, and utilities using open-source frameworks and approved tools.\nReview repetitive or error-prone manual tasks and implement controlled automation with logging, exception handling, traceability, and appropriate human review.\nMaintain test results, defect logs, implementation records, automation assets, and testing or implementation metrics.\nServe as a primary client contact; coordinate cross-functional resources and support status reporting, training materials, user guides, and continuous improvement.\nKnowledge & Skills:\nDevelopment of onboarding and implementation project plans, test strategies, and certification criteria.\nAPI, web application, IBM MQ, and managed file-transfer testing across integrated environments.\nAutomation framework design, scripting, test data preparation, evidence collection, and results reporting.\nTechnical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across applications, infrastructure, data, and connectivity.\nAbility to build consensus, negotiate solutions, guide clients through decisions, and perform additional duties as directed.\nPerformance standards:\nThe candidate should be mature, collegial, self-motivated, highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Candidates will report to the office three days each week.
