This role will focus on systems configuration, programming, infrastructure integration, automation, and troubleshooting across mainframe, Windows, Linux, network, and storage environments.\nThe ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with Unisys ClearPath Libra/MCP systems and the ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Technology, and Systems Development teams. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting and modernizing critical payment infrastructure at one of the nation’s leading payments organizations.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities:\nPerforming highly technical system configuration and programming.\n\nInstallation and configuration of mainframe systems and related devices for network and storage system connectivity\n\nWork collaboratively with other Operations and Technology teams, users, and product stakeholders\n\nServe as an internal consultant to systems development staff for information on components of the operating system including file management routines, system performance analysis and software enhancements\n\nDevelop utility software to perform system or application related automation tasks\n\nPrograms and supports mainframe related PC server and desktop scripting\n\nSupports PC server and desktop configuration of applications that interface with mainframes\n\nQualifications Required:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, or a combination of equivalent education and experience in systems configuration, programming, and integration\n\nKnowledge of systems programming concepts such as table and bit manipulation, messaging, queuing, database organization and disk I/O\n\nExperience with Unisys ClearPath Libra mainframe hardware installation and configuration including:\nOPS console\n\nSystem Editor\n\nOC Manager\n\nNetwork connectivity\n\nStorage network connectivity\n\nSoftware Installation\n\nExperience with Unisys ClearPath Software Series VM based system installation and configuration\n\nGeneral knowledge of Windows networking and iSCSI concepts\n\nKnowledge of the integration of the Microsoft Windows server, Linux server and Unisys mainframe environments\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nQualifications Desired:\nKnowledge of Unisys MCP mainframe operating environment and utilities including:\nDMSII\n\nCOMS\n\nCCF\n\nSecurity Center\n\nSystem Assistant\n\nNX/Services\n\nOLEDB\n\nSecure-Transport\n\nSimple Install\n\nLog Analyzer\n\nCANDE / WFL\n\nProgrammer’s Work Bench\n\nMCP based disk mirroring\n\nFiling incidents with Unisys support and providing supporting files such as system and program dumps\n\nAbility to interpret program dumps\n\nExtensive knowledge of the use of LOGANALYZER and the various log entries found in the SUMLOG\n\nKnowledge of Unisys software compilation and patching process including:\nObtaining and installing Interim Corrections for MCP\n\nObtaining and installing Interim Corrections for system software\n\nCompiling system software with local patches\n\nUnisys networking concepts:\nTCP/IP routing and addressing\n\nLibra network host initialization files\n\nNX/NET as used in the Libra environment\n\nWin RPC\n\nMainframe storage and SAN setup configuration skills (EMC storage arrays and Cisco MDS switching)\n\nKnowledge of cloud service providers (AWS & Microsoft Azure) and general cloud computing concepts.\n\nPhysical demands and work environment: Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.Employees in this position will report to the office 3 days per week. Occasional travel may be required. Onsite work requirements may change at any time.\nThe anticipated annual salary range for NY-based candidates for this position is $120,000-$135,000. Base salary and position level will be determined by the role, experience, skill set and location. For eligible positions, discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded contingent on personal and company performance.
