TCH is the only private-sector ACH and wire operator in the US, clearing and settling nearly $2 trillion in US dollar payments each day, representing half of all commercial ACH and wire volume. TCH has provided critical services to the banking industry since 1853, and today, our core products facilitate services including Direct Deposit of payroll, bill payments, and check image exchange.\nQualifications Required:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.\n5+ years of proven experience working in network engineering or a related field.\nCisco CCNA required, a CCNP track as a plus.\nExperience in network design, operational support, internetworking concepts, protocols, configuration of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, associated software tools, and cabling in a large LAN/MAN/WAN environment. Preferable Cisco Systems.\nExcellent communication, teamwork abilities, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.\nMust be available for 24/7 on-call support and be able to deploy changes during off-hour change control windows.\nMust be proficient with project coordination to manage the execution of maintenance activities and evaluating network outages. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities:\nParticipates in the planning, designing, implementation, installation, testing, supporting and maintenance of the network infrastructure.\nResponsible for network system quality assurance and must be consistent with installation standards and project development methodology.\nAssists in preparing project and unit budgets.\nObtain quotes and assist in the preparation of proposals for network equipment.\nMust be able to create and maintain the configuration and procedural documentation for accuracy and usability. Proficient with Microsoft Office & Visio documentation/diagramming.\nMust be able to develop, improve and implement efficient network utilization strategies and security standards.\nDeploy and assist in the installation of equipment and cables. Ability to rack and stack equipment, up to 25 pounds.\nA working knowledge of global data centers and colocation facilities.\nSecure internal and external platforms by reviewing and replacing at-risk or end-of-life (EOL) equipment and code.\nProvide operations monitoring and reporting systems for all network environments.\nReview of network systems hardening configurations based on company standards.\nA working knowledge of network security models which include HSMs, encryption, authentication, key management and cryptography.\nSuccess factors/job competencies:\nExcellent understanding of the OSI model.\nStrong understanding of network performance monitoring tools, such as WhatsUp Gold, SolarWinds or OpManager.\nWorking knowledge of F5 GTM/LTM load balancers and Cisco IPS/IDS.\nMust be able to use packet analyzer and evaluate trace files, such as Wireshark. \nThorough understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL and DNS Protocols.\nWorking knowledge of RSA security products.\nExperience working with Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Ivanti Networks SSL VPN a plus.\nAbility to develop and maintain scripts using Visual Basic, Python and Secure CRT.\nUnderstanding of virtualization technologies, including VMWare and VMware NSX.\nHands-on experience deploying network cloud services within AWS and Azure.\nVPC, TGW, ALB, NLB, SG, IGW, VNet, NSG.\nWorking knowledge of wireless network, including access points, controllers and wireless management.\nExcellent working knowledge of Cisco’s Identity Services Engine (ISE).\nUnderstanding of MPLS network design and support.\nPhysical demands and work environment:\nWork is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.\nEmployees in this position will report to the office 3 days per week. Employees in this position will be expected to be on-call 24/7 to support off-hour changes and system updates.\nOccasional travel may be required.
