This role is seeking an Electronics Engineer to work in the Note Issue department located in Craigieburn, Victoria. The Electronics Engineer will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of banknote authentication detectors and quality assurance devices reporting to the manager of the R&D projects team. \nAbout the role\nDesign and builds hardware components such as custom enclosures, fixtures and mechanical mounts for instruments and devices\n\nDesign, fabrication and assembly of optoelectronic components and systems\n\nPrinted circuit board design and assembly\n\nConnecting electronic subsystems so they communicate and function together\n\nElectronics debugging and troubleshooting\n\nAbout you\nExperience in the design, fabrication and assembly of optoelectronic components and systems - Minimum 5+ years experience\n\nBachelor degree in mechatronics/electronic engineering or equivalent\n\nEnhanced skills in designing and fabrication of electronic circuits and enclosures\n\nSkills and experience in electronics PCB layout and schematic capture e.g. Altium\n\nSkills in electronics assembly tools (e.g. oscilloscopes, signal generator, power supplies, soldering, reflow oven)\n\nProficient in use of computer aided design programs e.g. Solidworks\n\nDemonstrated experience in additive and substrative manufacturing techniques\n\nCompetent machining skills (e.g. CNC, milling, lathe)\n\nHighly competent communication skills - both writing and verbal\n\nProgramming code skills (e.g. C, C++, Visual Studio, Arduino) would be advantageous\n\nBe More\nWorking for an organisation that truly makes a difference to the people of Australia, we can offer development and career opportunities in a collaborative environment that supports your growth, wellbeing and promotes flexibility.
