As part of the next phase of our technology transformation journey, the Bank is strengthening the foundations of its technology operating model to enhance service delivery, organisational effectiveness, governance and ways of working.\nThe Operating Model Lead sits within the IT Workforce Enablement team and reports to the Manager, IT Workforce Enablement. The role will work closely with Executive leaders, the Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) Working Group, the IT Executive Team (ITET), and People and workforce planning specialists to drive the successful implementation of the future-state operating model.\nAbout the role\nAs the Operating Model Lead, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Infrastructure & Operations operating model and driving transformation outcomes across people, process, governance and ways of working.\nYou will play a pivotal role in translating strategic operating model design into practical implementation, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, managing dependencies and enabling successful adoption across the technology function.\nKey responsibilities include:\nLeading the implementation of the Infrastructure & Operations operating model and ensuring delivery of key transformation outcomes.\nPartnering with the I&O Working Group to plan, coordinate and drive implementation activities, decisions and delivery milestones.\nWorking closely with Executive stakeholders and the IT Executive Team to provide strategic advice, progress updates, risk management and recommendations.\nOverseeing and executing stakeholder engagement, communication and adoption strategies to support successful change outcomes.\nRefining operating model artefacts, implementation roadmaps and governance arrangements based on delivery insights and evolving business requirements.\nProviding leadership and expertise in organisational design, workforce transition planning and people-related change initiatives.\nPartnering with People, Culture and workforce planning specialists to ensure workforce strategies support future-state organisational requirements.\nLeading change management and engagement activities to embed new structures, processes and ways of working.\nActing as a trusted adviser and transformation leader, influencing stakeholders and maintaining momentum throughout the implementation journey.\nMonitoring progress, managing risks and dependencies, and proactively driving mitigation actions to ensure successful delivery.\nAbout you\nTo succeed in this role, you will bring a strong combination of strategic thinking, transformation leadership and execution capability, together with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.\nYou will have:\nDemonstrated experience leading large-scale operating model, organisational design, business transformation or workforce transformation initiatives.\nA proven track record delivering complex operating model implementation programs within technology or enterprise environments.\nStrong understanding of organisational effectiveness, governance models, workforce planning and contemporary operating practices.\nExceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with experience partnering with executive leaders and senior decision-makers.\nOutstanding communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholder groups.\nThe ability to balance strategic thinking with practical implementation and delivery.\nExperience designing and delivering communication, engagement and change adoption strategies.\nExperience partnering with Human Resources, workforce planning and business leaders on organisation-wide change initiatives.\nStrong resilience, adaptability and problem-solving capability, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes in complex environments.\nBe More\nWorking for an organisation that truly makes a difference to the people of Australia, we can offer development and career opportunities in a collaborative environment that supports your growth, wellbeing and promotes flexibility.
