The Network Services team is part of the Infrastructure Services section of IT.\nAs part of the team, you will provide expert services in relation to network management, troubleshooting and improvements, while providing a service-oriented approach.\nAbout the role\n\nUndertake the provisioning, maintenance, security hardening, capacity planning and performance testing of network (data, storage) systems infrastructure\nParticipate in 2nd line IT incident and security response capability for network infrastructure\nProduce design, automation scripts, technical documentation, reports, and records regarding infrastructure solutions\nImprove, harden, test, implement, monitor, and tune networking software/hardware to ensure optimum systems performance and highlight potential issues\nManage the analysis of network traffic data and providing recommendations on performance and security improvements to network infrastructures as appropriate\nUndertake acceptance tests and commissioning communications systems and equipment\nOccasional scheduled work at our Business Resumption Site at Bella Vista will be required\nWork with cyber security team to improve Bank’s protections and remediate vulnerabilities\nThis role may require participation in an on-call support roster and occasional after-hours or weekend work.\nAbout you\n\nDegree preferred in IT coupled with Industry accreditations in Cisco and ITIL\nDemonstrated knowledge of Cisco networking infrastructure covering both Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs)\nStrong experience with Firewalls Cisco and/or Palo Alto and applicable management tools to manage such as Cisco Security Manager (CSM) and Firewall Management Centre (FMC).\nDemonstrated experience managing and supporting F5 BIG-IP environments, including LTM/GTM configuration, traffic management, and application load balancing.\nStrong communications (data/voice/video) infrastructure experience\nProficient in writing policies and procedures and other support documentation\nStrong experience or willingness to learn: Python and relevant scripting languages to automate activities.\nDemonstrated experience IAC (Terraform) and Cisco ACI.\nGood understanding of IT infrastructure and Service Management practices.\nKnowledge or willingness to learn: Network management tools such as Cisco DNA Centre, Statseeker and Infoblox.\nKnowledge of Cisco SD-WAN technologies is desirable.\nBe More\nWorking for an organisation that truly makes a difference to the people of Australia, we can offer development and career opportunities in a collaborative environment that supports your growth, wellbeing and promotes flexibility.
