Takes ownership of the bar, knowing the names and preferences of their guests and VIPs, greeting, seating, running, bussing, re-setting etc.\n\nDescribes dinner features as needed, including menu changes and daily additions.\n\nConductscontinuous training with service team regardingthe spirit and cocktail list and provides complete training for all new hires.\n\nPrepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to the restaurant’s recipes and guest requests.\n\nPrepare drinks for the serving staff to bring to tables.\n\nEngage with guests to take orders, answer questions, and make recommendations on cocktails, wines, and beers.\n\nUnderstand the order taken by the server and any changes in the menu, dietary restrictions, food allergies, etc.\n\nMaintain a clean, safe environmentall times in the bar (front bar, back bar, well, floor).\n\nFully understand and comply withall federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the restaurantcolleagues and guests.\n\nObserve guests to identifysigns of intoxication and refuse further service when appropriate, following the establishment’s policies.\n\nIn addition to performanceof the essential functions, this position may be requiredto perform a combinationofsupportive functions.\n\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nMust be able to speak, read, writeand understand the primary language(s) used in communication with guests, suppliers, and colleagues.\n\nMust be able to read and write to facilitatethe communication process.\n\nRequires good communicationskills, both verbal and written.\n\nMustpossessbasic computer skills. Must have complete knowledge of POSsystem.\n\nKnowledge of the appropriate tablesettings and service ware.\n\nAbility to describe all menu items, pricesand methods of preparation. And to use suggestive selling techniques to encourage the guests to choose items that are house specialties.\n\nMust have complete knowledge of products and specifications that isoutlined in the dinner menu.\n\nMust be minimum age to serve alcohol.\n\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nPrior hospitality and/ or food & beverage experience preferred\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Serverto successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
