While no job description can possibly provide a comprehensive list of job duties, the following is a summary of the major responsibilities for the position.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nEnsure service to all guests at banquets, receptions, and off-premises catering functions follows established standards, and is consistent, efficient, and courteous.\nSet tables; serve meals (food and beverages); clear tables.\nBe thoroughly familiar with each event’s menu items, ingredients, beverages, etc. and deliver exceptional service while anticipating guests' needs. \nAssist with function set-up and breakdown and consistently check tables and side stands during shift.\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nUnderstanding of the luxury & quality environment. \nStrong positive attitude and ability to initiate a light conversation with guests.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a colleague to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:\nMust be able to lift equipment, supplies, etc. of at least 30 pounds; push and pull equipment , supplies, etc., at least 100 pounds.\nRegularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear; frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms; frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard Banquets equipment.
