BASICFUNCTION:

Thepurposeofthispositionistoperformhighlyskilledresearchor

analysesinvolvingcomplexscientificmethodsoracomplexseriesof

steps.Responsibleforoverseeingorconductingcriticalpartsofresearch

projects.Mayalsoperformtheday-to-daycoordinationofaresearch

group,takingchargeoftheexecutionofpartsofaresearchproject.This

positiontypicallyreportstoaPrincipalInvestigator(PI).

SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITY:

Responsible for orientingandtrainingothersandassigningand

reviewingtheirwork.Mayalsoberesponsibleforactinginaleadorsenior

capacityoverotherpositionsperformingessentiallythesameworkor

relatedtechnicaltasksandreportingtoahigherlevelonaformalbasis.

NATUREANDSCOPE:

Toestablish internal and external contact with institute’s staff, researchersandjuniorresearchers,andoutsidevendorsforthepurposeofgatheringandexchanginginformation.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assistisconductingliteraturereviewsneededtosuccessfullycompletea majorproject.
  • Assistinformulatinganddevelopingguidelinesforapplyingtoeducationalpracticethefindingformtheliteraturereviews.
  • UnderthedirectionofthePI,serveasanadvisorandworkcloselywiththe staffoftheprojectintheconductofclassroomfieldresearch.
  • Conductworkshopsthatwillbenefitstaffworkingwithcertaintargeted
  • populationsandmakepublicpresentationsregardingtheresearchprojects.
  • Performadministrativeworkinsupportofresearchobjectives,developand
  • monitorsprojectbudgetandauthorizeexpendituresofprojectfunds.
  • Design,fabricate,repairand/oroperateresearchequipmentforthedevelopmentofresearchdataasrequired.
  • Planandcoordinatecomputerizedstatisticalanalysesforadvancedandcomprehensiveresearchprojects,whichincludeconsultingwithotherresearcherstoderiveanunderstandingofthehypothesisand experimentalapproachanddecidinguponappropriatestatisticalanalysesforvariousdesigns.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Ph.D.economicsorresearchdisciplinerelatedtotheeconomics.
