Such programmatic support involves considerable responsibility, complexity and variety.\nSUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:\nThis position does not have any direct reports.\nNATURE AND SCOPE:\nInternal contacts include administrators, faculty, staff and students in the School of Law and other University departments. External contacts include government officials and a myriad of law affiliated institutions, agencies, and organizations, vendors, clinic clients, alumni, sponsor representatives, visitors and the general public.\nPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:\nProvide programmatic and administrative support for Clinical Law Center faculty, staff, and students for Clinical Law Center-related activities. \nSupport the legal operations of the Clinical Law Center by managing electronic files, assisting with conflicts checks, generating reports and performing other related duties. \nSupport the academic operations of the Clinical Law Center’s academic programming by planning and executing open houses, assisting with enrollment management, managing internal and external communications and providing administrative and programmatic assistance to each clinic. \nCoordinate all administrative and programmatic details for Clinical Law Center events including, but not limited to, open houses, orientations, guest speakers, symposia, special events, and outreach activities. Plan menus and order food for such events. \nPlan and lead training for students on intake and client management software. \nManage all front-office operations, including intake, procurement, event planning and other administrative and programmatic duties. \nProcess all Clinical Law Center applications and communicate as appropriate with the Records Office and the Office of Student Affairs. \nProcess all student bar card applications; collect applications, verify completion; coordinate with Office of Student Affairs for certification; deliver applications to the Court of Appeals; and ensure that bar cards are received in a timely fashion. \nMaintain and manage a database of Clinical Law Center students and former students. \nCreate and maintain clinical files, forms, and reports; develop and maintain confidential filing systems; assist in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to client confidentiality. \nProcess receipts and reimbursements for Clinical Law Center faculty and staff. \nMonitor office space requirements; oversee physical plant maintenance requests. \nPrepare external communications as assigned; assist with updating the website and managing the Clinical Law Center’s online presence as assigned. \nManage the file room for all clinical programs, including purging files in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. \nVerify and respond to requests for student employment dates in the Clinical Law Center. \nWork with the Clinic Director, Assistant Director and the Associate Deans for Administration and Academic Affairs, and other law school and university administrators to develop systems, procedures, policies and programs that ensure the maintenance and growth of a viable, visible, dynamic and nationally recognized law school clinical program. \nPerform special projects and other duties as assigned by Director or Assistant Director of the Clinical Law Center. \nCORE COMPETENCIES:\nExcellent computer skills; demonstrated competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, relevant case management software and other software programs as needed. \nDemonstrated experience in performing programmatic duties at a high level. \nAbility to represent the Clinic in a professional and exceptional manner. \nDemonstrated commitment to social justice, civil and human rights, and working with a diverse group of constituencies. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills. \nDemonstrated attention to detail. \nAbility to prioritize work, meet deadlines and deliver quality customer services. \nAbility to maintain effective and harmonious relations with faculty, staff and students. \nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s degree required. Paralegal degree and experience in a legal environment preferred.
