Substitutes support the school community by maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of regular teachers, providing a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for students across preschool through 8th grade.\nWe are also seeking substitute specialists in Chinese, Spanish, French, PE, music, and art. Substitutes must be able to respond to short-notice requests, often the night before or the morning of the assignment.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDeliver planned lessons and activities as directed by the classroom teacher or instructional staff.\nMaintain a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment.\nSupervise students in the classroom, on the playground, and during other school activities.\nFollow school routines, policies, and procedures.\nCommunicate with divisional staff and report any significant issues or incidents.\nAdapt instruction as needed to meet the needs of diverse learners.\nSupport school events or activities as requested by the administration.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nAt Evergreen, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community. This position is part-time, as needed for substitute assignments with variable daily schedules. Assignments could be available anytime Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:30pm.
