You will follow all OCFS regulations, follow schoolwide PBIS initiative, and collaborate with classroom staff, parents, education consultant, and administration.\nYour Responsibilities Will Include:\nWork under supervision of classroom teacher.\nAssist in caring for physical needs of children\nAttend staffing, departmental in-service meetings as assigned.\nAssist in keeping classroom and program supplies ready and well maintained.\nMaintain professional ethics in the building and out, regarding the discussion of pupils, and their conditions.\nAdhere to the Program and Agency policies.\nAssist individuals with toileting and personal care needs when necessary.\nAssist with behavior management of children under the supervision of the classroom teacher as outlined by Program and Agency policies.\nInteract with children at all times in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate way, while encouraging self-help.\nAssist in child observation, records keeping, and assessment.\nYou're a great fit for this role if you have:\nHigh School education or GED, Bachelor's degree preferred.\nTwo (2) years practical experience working with children is preferred.\nLevel I NYS Teacher Assistant Certification preferred. \nCompensation & Benefits\nCompensation\n$17.00-$20.00 per hour\n\nWho We Are\nEasterseals is a standard-bearer for creating equity and access for people with disabilities and other barriers to long term self-sufficiency.
