Senior Software Engineer - SAP S4 - Cash Applications & Treasury Investments (Remote)

Position Purpose:

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Functional Configurator to join our enterprise Finance Technology team. This individual contributor role will play a critical part in designing, configuring, and supporting scalable SAP Finance solutions with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable, Bank Accounting, Cash Application processes, Electronic Bank Statements, and Treasury Investment and Risk Management.

The ideal candidate combines deep SAP Finance functional expertise with strong technical acumen and a passion for delivering innovative business solutions that drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions focused on Receivables, Cash Applications, and Bank Accounting and integration with Customer portal.
• Drive end-to-end solution delivery for Electronic Bank Statement processing, cash reconciliation, payment processing, customer account management and Treasury Investment and Risk Management.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into scalable SAP solutions that improve efficiency, automation, and financial visibility.
• Collaborate across Finance, Sales and Order Management, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and business continuity.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot complex functional issues, and implement sustainable solutions that enhance system stability and performance.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and champion innovative approaches that simplify operations and improve user experience.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and solution prototypes to validate business requirements and accelerate decision-making.
• Mentor team members by sharing SAP best practices, design standards, and functional expertise.
• Influence enterprise-wide finance transformation initiatives leveraging SAP S/4HANA capabilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 plus years of deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance, particularly:
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Cash Application
  • Bank Accounting
  • Electronic Bank Statements (EBS)
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Integration experience with Customer Portal
  • Treasury Investments
• Strong understanding of end-to-end financial processing from invoice posting through payment reconciliation and cash application.
• Experience integrating SAP Finance with Sales & Order Management processes.
• Proven ability to design scalable, business-focused SAP solutions in large enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex business challenges.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting both SAP implementations and ongoing production operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multiple full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA 1909 or higher.
• Knowledge of SAP best practices for finance transformation and automation.
• Experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead functional solution discussions and influence technical direction.

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
