Position Purpose:
The Functional Training Manager facilitates training for both virtual and in-person audiences. Content is typically focused on complex operations or tasks that are broad in scope. This content also delves deep into topics in business areas that require associates and leaders to perform specific operations or tasks. The Functional Training Manager is responsible for working with cross-functional teams and functions as a subject matter expert for content development. The Functional Training Manager will interact with multiple levels and business functions inside and outside the learning organization. The Functional Training Manager must be comfortable facilitating in front of large groups both in-person and online. The Functional Training Manager must also possess excellent communication skills, work well with a team, manage and support multi-day learning events, be detail-oriented, and be a self-starter.
Key Responsibilities:
- 20% Collaboration & Partnership - Participate in special projects as assigned Partner with the Learning Design & Development team, Learning Strategy, Manager, and functional subject matter experts on the development, maintenance, and updates of courses
- 60% Facilitation - Partner with the Learning Design & Development team, Learning Strategy, Manager, and functional subject matter experts on the development, maintenance, and updates of courses
- 20% Support - Administrative tasks such as calendar planning, attendance/roster management, communication with customers, event management

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

- Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience facilitating training both in-person and remotely, with a solid understanding and application of adult learning principles
