Working under the strategic direction of the Solution Architect, the role translates architectural vision into practical, scalable and supportable technical solutions that deliver business outcomes.\nThe post holder will provide deep technical expertise across Oracle Cloud technologies, integrations, infrastructure, platform services and application architecture. They will play a lead role in designing and assuring solutions that leverage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle Fusion Applications and associated cloud technologies.\nThe role will be responsible for defining technical standards, reviewing solution designs, supporting complex project delivery and ensuring effective integration between enterprise applications and technology platforms. The post holder will also identify opportunities to improve performance, increase automation, simplify architectural complexity and maximise value from cloud technologies.\nKey Role Responsibilities\nTechnical Architecture & Solution Design\nDesign end-to-end technical architecture solutions supporting Oracle Fusion and Business Services platforms. \nProvide assurance on 3rd party integration designs, ensuring they meet the MET standards. \nProduce and maintain technical architecture artefacts, standards, patterns and design documentation. \nEnsure solutions meet non-functional requirements including security, scalability, resilience, availability and performance. \nProvide technical oversight throughout project lifecycles from discovery through to implementation and support. \nSupport the Solution Architect in defining and maintaining target-state architecture. \nOracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architecture\nDesign and govern solutions deployed within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). \nProvide expertise across OCI networking, security, identity management, compute, storage and platform services. \nEnsure cloud environments are designed in accordance with architectural standards, security requirements and operational best practice. \nSupport cloud adoption and optimisation initiatives across the Business Solutions portfolio. \nDrive the use of cloud-native services and automation capabilities wherever appropriate. \nIntegration Architecture & OIC\nLead the design and assurance of enterprise integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). \nDevelop integration patterns and standards across SaaS, cloud and on-premise services. \nEnsure reliable, secure and scalable integration between Oracle Fusion and wider enterprise systems. \nSupport API strategy, event-driven architectures and middleware technologies. \nWork with technical teams and suppliers to troubleshoot and optimise integration solutions. \nEngineering & Technical Governance\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to development, support and engineering teams. \nReview technical designs and support architecture governance processes. \nEnsure compliance with technical standards, security policies and operational requirements. \nIdentify and mitigate technical risks throughout programme and project delivery. \nSupport continuous improvement of development and architecture practices. \nContinuous Improvement & Innovation\nIdentify opportunities to simplify architecture and reduce technical debt. \nPromote automation and platform optimisation through cloud technologies. \nSupport innovation initiatives and proof-of-concept activities. \nDrive technical excellence and continual service improvement across Business Solutions. \nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Experience\n5+ years’ experience in Technical Architecture or equivalent senior technical roles and at least 8+ years’ experience working with ERPs and Corporate Applications. \nSignificant experience in Technical Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Integration Architecture or comparable senior technical roles. \nExperience designing and implementing solutions within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). \nStrong hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). \nExperience supporting Oracle Fusion ERP, HCM and associated cloud technologies. \nStrong understanding of cloud-native architectures and SaaS platform integration. \nExperience designing API-based integrations and enterprise middleware solutions. \nKnowledge of identity management, security architecture and cloud security principles. \nExperience working with integration technologies, web services, REST APIs and event-driven architectures. \nStrong understanding of networking, infrastructure and cloud platform services. \nExperience delivering enterprise-scale transformation programmes and technology implementations. \nAbility to create architecture documentation, technical standards and solution designs. \nExperience working with Agile, DevOps and modern software delivery practices. \nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. \nBenefits:\nYou’ll enjoy the kind of great benefits that you’d expect from one of London's largest employers.\nThese include;\nAnnual leave entitlement of 28 days plus bank holidays, rising to 33 days after 5 years of service \nCivil service pension arrangements \nInterest free season ticket loans \nMembership of Met sports and social clubs \nFlexible working conditions and many more. \nClosing date: In order to streamline our recruitment process, we reserve the right to expire vacancies prior to the advertised closing date once we have received a sufficient number of applications.\nHow to apply\nTo begin your career at the Met, please click the \"apply button “.
