This role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and well-functioning environment across our kitchens and service areas, ensuring the team has what they need to deliver an exceptional member experience. From maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards to managing dishwashing, waste removal, and restocking essential supplies, this role plays an important part in creating the foundation for seamless service.\nThe ideal candidate takes pride in their work, understands the importance of cleanliness and organization in a high-standard hospitality environment, and brings a proactive, team-first attitude to every shift.\nKey Responsibilities\nKitchen & Dishwashing Operations\nMaintain cleanliness and organization across kitchen workspaces, dishwashing areas, and designated service spaces.\nWash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to established standards.\nEnsure clean equipment and serviceware are consistently available to support kitchen and front-of-house operations.\nAssist with cleaning kitchen equipment, floors, drains, and other designated areas in accordance with sanitation procedures.\nCleanliness & Facility Standards\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout assigned areas, following all food safety and sanitation requirements.\nRemove trash, recycling, and compost as needed, ensuring proper disposal and maintaining clean waste areas.\nMonitor and replenish cleaning supplies and other essential items, communicating low inventory or maintenance needs to the appropriate team member.\nFollow established procedures for handling cleaning chemicals, equipment, and waste.\nIdentify and promptly communicate spills, hazards, equipment issues, or other conditions requiring attention.\nOperational Support\nAssist the culinary and service teams with restocking supplies, organizing storage areas, and preparing workspaces for service.\nSupport deliveries and the movement of supplies or equipment as needed.\nHelp maintain orderly storage areas and ensure items are returned to their designated locations.\nRespond to changing operational needs and assist across assigned areas during busy service periods.\nTeamwork & Professionalism\nWork collaboratively with culinary, service, and facilities teams to support efficient daily operations.\nMaintain a positive, reliable, and solutions-oriented approach, especially during high-volume periods.\nFollow direction from managers and supervisors while proactively identifying ways to support the team.\nContribute to a culture of accountability, respect, and high standards across The June.\nRequirements\nPrevious experience in a restaurant, hotel, private club, or other hospitality environment preferred.\nFamiliarity with commercial dishwashing equipment, cleaning procedures, and sanitation standards is a plus.\nStrong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace.\nReliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.\nComfortable standing for extended periods, moving equipment and supplies, and performing physical tasks throughout a shift.\nAbility to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a diverse team.\nFlexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.\nA proactive, team-first mindset and willingness to jump in wherever support is needed.\nNice to Have\nExperience working in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or private club.\nKnowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.\nExperience supporting kitchen operations during service or restaurant openings.\nAt The June, great hospitality starts behind the scenes.
