Just minutes from Venice Beach, Abbot Kinney Boulevard, and the best of Southern California’s coastal attractions, Jamaica Bay Inn offers a relaxed setting for both leisure stays and waterfront events.\nTHE ROLE\nAs a Restaurant Supervisor, you’ll help lead the day-to-day restaurant operation and serve as a key connection between the Food & Beverage management team and hourly team members. You’ll keep service running smoothly, support and develop the team, and make sure guests receive the high level of care and hospitality we’re known for.\nYou’ll:\nLead day-to-day restaurant shifts and help ensure smooth, efficient operations\nCommunicate department goals, service standards, and performance expectations to the team\nTrain, coach, and provide constructive feedback to hourly team members\nServe as a resource for team members, helping resolve questions, concerns, and challenges\nEnsure the team has the tools, supplies, equipment, and support needed to provide great service\nAddress guest concerns and requests promptly and professionally\nMonitor service quality and look for opportunities to improve the guest experience\nConduct shift briefings and help ensure appropriate shift coverage\nEnsure compliance with company standards, food safety requirements, OSHA guidelines, and department procedures\nWork closely with management to recognize strong performance and build an engaged team\nCommunicate team and operational updates, challenges, and opportunities to F&B management\nCoordinate with other hotel departments to keep operations running efficiently\nPerform restaurant service duties as needed and lead by example\nHelp manage the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager or Supervisor\nSupport initiatives designed to improve guest satisfaction and operational performance\nWHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE\nThe restaurant runs smoothly, guests receive attentive and consistent service, and team members know what’s expected of them and feel supported in delivering it. You’re a visible, hands-on leader who can step into a busy shift, solve problems, coach the team, and keep both the guest experience and operational standards on track.\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\n2+ years of supervisory experience in a Food & Beverage or restaurant environment\nPrevious experience as a server and/or bartender preferred\nStrong knowledge of food and beverage service, guest relations, and service standards\nAbility to lead, coach, train, and motivate a team\nStrong communication skills with both guests and team members\nAbility to take initiative, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment\nStrong attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize\nComfortable handling guest concerns and responding quickly to changing needs\nKnowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service requirements\nFood Handler and alcohol awareness certification, or ability to obtain\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required;
