We are committed to cultivating a place where everyone can feel they belong.\nAbout Marie Philip School:\nMPS enrolls nearly 150 deaf and hard of hearing students on our Framingham, MA campus in an ASL/English bilingual, bicultural educational model.\nAbout Walden School:\nWalden School is a nationally-recognized residential therapeutic and education program for deaf children and youth ages 8 to 22 who have often experienced significant adverse childhood events as well as language deprivation.\nSUPERVISOR: Director of Student Services\nFUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProvide Commonwealth of Massachusetts RMV's curriculum and in-car instruction to driver education students.\nComply with MA rules and regulations regarding the driver’s training vehicle and its occupants for safe and efficient travel at all times.\nInstruct students to adhere to all regulations pertaining to driving and the necessary skills to operate a motor vehicle safely, responsibly, and effectively.\nPrepare students to identify, predict, and respond according to urban and rural driving environments.\nMaintain and prepare all necessary documents, reports, records, and driver hours.\nDevelop training routes, incorporating time requirements and learning objectives for each lesson.\nProvide the MA state-required parent class for minor drivers and communicate student progress with parents.\nCommunicate with students and/or parents (for minor students) about the process of obtaining an MA State Driver’s License.\nWork with the Advancement Department to develop marketing content for recruitment of students to the program.\nEnsure the completion of the necessary documentation to maintain TLC certification and license to be able to provide Massachusetts Driving Instruction courses and instruction.\nReport on enrollment and other metrics for the program.\nMaintain current MA Driving Instructor Certification and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record in good standing.\nThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
