This is an early-career opportunity for someone with strong technical foundations, a real aptitude for data and, most importantly, the curiosity to dig into a problem and figure out what’s happening.\nThis is very much an operations role. Some days you’ll investigate why data isn’t appearing where it should. Others you might respond to a platform alert, troubleshoot a pipeline, improve monitoring or find a smarter way to automate a repetitive task.\nWhat you’ll do\nKeep data pipelines and ETL processes running reliably\nInvestigate data, reporting and platform issues\nUse SQL to query and troubleshoot data\nRespond to alerts and triage platform incidents\nImprove monitoring, runbooks and operational processes\nIdentify opportunities for AI-enabled automation\nSupport cloud, Kubernetes and legacy data platforms\nWork with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines\nBuild your capability across Confluent and event streaming\nOnce you’re fully established, participate in our 24/7 on-call roster\nWhat you’ll bring\nAround 1-3 years’ experience in Data Operations, Data/AI Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE or similar\nStrong SQL skills and confidence investigating data issues\nExposure to a cloud environment such as GCP or AWS\nAn understanding of data pipelines, ETL and data warehousing concepts\nExposure to infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD or Python\nAn interest in how modern Data and AI workloads operate in production\nStrong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to get stuck into incidents\nCuriosity, initiative and a genuine appetite to learn\nWhat you’ll get\nNot only will you receive an awesome candidate experience from our caring Talent team, but you’ll get a genuine feel for who we are and what it’s like to be part of our team.\nThe benefits of working with The Lottery Corporation are pretty good.
