Obtain blueprint and hydraulic print reading certificates.\nTroubleshoot, locate and identify all basic crane functions.\nOperate and check sub-assemblies.\nLocate parts needed for the assembly process.\nGrease and lubricate parts.\nInspect parts for adherence to specifications; grind parts as needed.\nAssist in planning and maintaining the flow of work through department. \nInstruct and check the work of lower rated Assemblers. \nComplete and maintain all required paperwork and records, ensuring paperwork follows product.\nOperate small hand and power tools such as hammer, wrench (open and closed), pipe wrench, punch, screwdriver, torque wrench, file, metric and SAE, magnetic drill, hydraulic torque wrench, drill, grinder, and other hand and power tools.\nEnsure production specifications and quality standards are met.\nIdentify and resolve assembly problems with engineering.\nOperate powered hand truck, single leg gantry crane, and jib hoist.\nReceive Company certification to operate overhead cranes, jib hoists, overhead bridge cranes and powered industrial forklift. \nPerform daily inspections and operate, perform basic rigging, use of chains and slings for a jib hoist and use a battery magnet.\nWorking Environment:\nThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use tools or controls. Incumbent will work in a typical manufacturing environment including the use of solvents, adhesives, hydraulic oil, petroleum products, etc. There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.
