Performs listed duties daily - following a duty list for an assigned area. Attends meetings and uses a checklist to ensure all areas are completed at the end of the shift.Responsibilities\nPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions)\nAs schedule allows, Housekeeping cleans the rooms/areas in which patient equipment is stored, i.e., IV Poles, Blood Pressure Pumps and Temperature Pumps.\nResponsible for removing regular and infectious waste as needed.\nResponsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the compactor area.\nRelocate carefully and completely furniture, equipment and boxes instructed to designated locations.\nAssist floor finishers as directed by Supervisor.\nReports any security issues to Supervisor promptly 100% of the time.\nRequired communicating all concerns to Supervisor promptly.\nReports any assigned work not completed to Supervisor at end of shift.\nReports safety hazards to Supervisor daily and uses checkout forms to record all discharge rooms cleaned daily.\nReturn all carts, equipment, key pagers and unused supplies to Storeroom in clean condition at end of shifts.\nFollows work rules 100% of the time.\nUses chemicals and supplies as trained and accordingly to manufacturer's recommendations 100% of the time.\nStrip and makes patient room beds for dismissal cleaning daily.\nDry and wet mop all floors daily with approved cleaning agent.\nPolishes all stainless steel weekly and on an as needed basis.\nPerforms clean up of spills wherever assigned and/or observed.\nReplaces in room needle containers when necessary.\nUses Bed-Tracking system property 100% of the time.\nUses step cleaning method consistently.\nDusts all horizontal and vertical surfaces daily with an approved cleaning agent.\nSpot cleans walls as necessary.\nDamp wipe all patient room furniture daily using approved cleaning agent.\nCleans all porcelain and metal fixtures in restrooms daily with an approved cleaning agent.\nCleans shower rooms and stalls daily.\nReplenish all paper and soap supplies in dispensers daily.\nClean all mirrors and windows daily with approved cleaning agent.\nPerforms duties daily following a checklist for an assigned area using proper chemicals, equipment and technique.\nChecks cart before leaving Central Storeroom to make sure that cart has necessary equipment and supplies.\nVacuum all carpeting daily where applicable.\nPerforms buffing duties as assigned per duty list.\nCompletes and turns in all checklists are used 100% of the time.\nMeets written standards of cleanliness 100% of the time.\nQualifications\nJOB SPECIFICATIONS (Minimum Requirements)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nMust be able to work independently with little supervision.\nMust be able to work as part of a group.\nEDUCATION\nHigh School Diploma/GED Equivalent Preferred\nGED Equivalent must be secured within one year of employment\nEXPERIENCE\n1 year Environmental Services Preferred\nSTANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR Meets the Standards of Behavior as outlined in Personnel Policy and Procedure #1, Employee Relations Code.CONFIDENTIALITY/HIPAA/CORPORATE COMPLIANCE Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational and other medical information.
