Utilizes Hand Held System as expected..\nStrictly adheres to National Patient Safety Goals, HIPAA Guidelines, and AIDET Expectations.\nProcesses laboratory test requests in the order of priority. Responds to STAT and Time Request tests as promptly as possible.\nInteracts effectively with physicians, patients, and other support services. Responds to customer's concerns and comfort positively. Answers phone calls promptly and professionally.\nParticipates in inventory management optimal resource utilization.\nAssists with training of new employees.\nQualifications\nJOB SPECIFICATIONS(Minimum Requirements)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nGeneral knowledge of phlebotomy procedures and practices.\nDemonstrated oral and written communication skills.\nExcellent interpersonal and leadership skills.\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment.\nAbility to provide compassionate patient care and orientation.\nEnergetic, self-motivated, and driven\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CERTIFICATION\nHigh School Diploma/GED Equivalent Required\nSuccessful completion of a Phlebotomy Program from an approved institution\nWork experience in a hospital / clinical setting is preferred as long as they are closely related to the essential functions of the position\nPBT (ASCP) or Equivalent within two years of hire\nSTANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR Meets the Standards of Behavior as outlined in Personnel Policy and Procedure #1, Employee Relations Code.CONFIDENTIALITY/HIPAA/CORPORATE COMPLIANCE Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational and other medical information.
