Receive and resolve work related problems with appropriate personnel policies and mechanisms.\nMaintains adequate quantity of reprocessed and repackaged supplies, instrumentation, and equipment to meet patient care demands of Surgery and Nursing units.\nManages all supply, instrumentation, tray assembly, sterilization, and distribution process related to the Surgical and Obstetrics Case Cart System.\nSupervises and evaluates Supply Processing and Distribution staff members.\nSupervises, assigns, and directs the activity of all personnel working in the Supply Processing and Distribution Service Unit.\nPerforms other duties as needed and/or assigned.\nQualifications\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nBasic knowledge of computer systems and supply inventory methods.\nBasic knowledge of surgical supplies and instrumentation and sterilization.\nAbility to work at assigned tasks on own initiative, expected to seek assistance on unfamiliar tasks.\nMust possess skills for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling.\nEDUCATION\nHigh School Diploma / GED - Required\nCertificate Sterile Processing - Required\nSPD Course Certification Required\nEXPERIENCE\n2 Years Healthcare/Medical - Instrument Processing/Cart Preparation - Required\n1 Year Healthcare/Medical - Supervisor - Required\n1 Year SPD Supervisory - Required\nSTANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR Meets the Standards of Behavior as outlined in Personnel Policy and Procedure #1, Employee Relations Code.CONFIDENTIALITY/HIPAA/CORPORATE COMPLIANCE Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational and other medical information.
