We are a new firm- small but growing- and we care about what we do.\nThe Urban Practice Team is looking for an Architectural Intern who is ready to apply their course-work to a real-world experience! The intern will collaborate and assist with a wide-range of responsibilities during the program. This internship will appeal to proactive and self-motivated students with a genuine desire to learn about the industry and the functions of a design firm. During the program, you will work on real projects and be an integral part of the team. Urban Practice aims to help candidates build strengths, gain skills that can be transferred to any workplace, and stand out from the crowd!\nWork Schedule:\nMonday through Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM for a total of 40 hours\nBased out of our Camden, NJ headquarters (5x a week)\nHighlights of the Internship include:\nWork alongside other interns across various majors and universities\nLearn from our more experienced team members and best-in-class leaders in the real estate community\nParticipate in company-wide and departmental meeting and events and a variety of social, professional and networking opportunities\nResponsibilities\nThe Architectural Intern will work under the supervision of designers and gain exposure to all aspects of the functions of the firm and project process. They will be involved in drafting and 3D modeling utilizing BIM software. They will collaborate with the team in producing architectural documents through all project stages and will apply standards and assemble drawing sets. They will review aspects of the project documents for coordination and completeness. They will attend project meetings with clients, consultants, and the internal design team for projects. They will help review codes and standards that are applied to projects and help provide support to the design teams. There also may be opportunities to participate in site observations. They will ensure output meets required expectations and deadlines. They will engage in learning exercises including lunch-and-learns, lectures, project tours, and vendor presentations. Lastly, they will be part of an inclusive, collaborative environment with others who are focused on high-quality design and mentorship.\nCLICK HERE to hear from last years' interns on their experiences!\nQualifications\nStudents currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture\nStudents who have successfully completed their third year of an undergraduate program or first year of a graduate program and are returning to your program post- internship\nProficiency in BIM (ArchiCAD a major plus) + rendering/modeling/graphic experience\nExperience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is a plus\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.\nExperience with multi-family residential planning/design is preferred.\nSalary Range Information\nThe range displayed on each job posting reflects the targeted base salary for the position.
