It is an engineering role focused on building, deploying, and operating AI systems in a regulated enterprise environment.\nWork Arrangement:\nEmployees who live within 30 miles of the TMG home office are expected to follow a hybrid or in-office schedule. The initial training period may require additional in-office days.\n\nAccountabilities:\nBuild AI Systems (Core Responsibility)\nDesign and implement end-to-end AI/ML solutions including LLM-based applications\n\nBuild RAG pipelines using vector databases and enterprise data sources\n\nBuild machine learning models that automate their training, validation, monitoring, and retraining\n\nDevelop APIs and services to operationalize AI capabilities across the organization\n\nDevelop Data + AI Pipelines\nBuild ingestion for multimodal content and transformation pipelines for structured and unstructured data\n\nIntegrate AI workflows with enterprise systems (policy, claims, billing, etc.)\n\nEnsure data quality, traceability, reliability, and governance in all AI pipelines\n\nOperationalize Models (MLOps)\nImplement CI/CD for AI/ML workflows\n\nDeploy, monitor, and maintain models in production\n\nManage model versioning, performance monitoring, and retraining processes\n\nBuild on AWS\nDevelop solutions using: Amazon SageMaker, AWS Lambda, S3, Glue, EKS, and related services\n\nContribute to evolving use of AWS Bedrock\n\nApply Responsible AI Practices\nImplement guardrails for LLM-based systems (grounding, validation, safety)\n\nEnsure secure handling of sensitive data (PII, financial, etc.)\n\nBuild systems aligned with enterprise governance and compliance standards\n\nLead by Doing\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers\n\nContribute to engineering standards and reusable patterns\n\nPartner with architects and business teams to deliver high-impact use cases\n\nQualifications:\nRequired\n5+ years in software, data engineering, 3 years AI/ML engineering\n\nHands-on experience building production AI/ML systems\n\nExperience with RAG pipelines, LLMs, or NLP-based systems\n\nExperience with AWS Bedrock or similar GenAI platforms\n\nExperience with data pipelines and distributed systems\n\nExperience deploying and operating systems in AWS\n\nWorking knowledge of MLOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, versioning)\n\nPreferred\nExperience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)\n\nExperience in regulated industries (insurance, finance, healthcare)\n\nExposure to microservices and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)\n\nPay Range:\nAnticipated Hiring Range:\n$120,000 - $150,000 annual base salary depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location\n\n$130,000 - $170,000 annual base salary depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location in CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, and PA\n\nBenefits:\nWe are proud to offer our full-time regular employees a robust benefits suite that includes:\nCompetitive base salary plus incentive plans for eligible team members\n401(K) retirement plan that includes a company match of up to 6% of your eligible salary\nFree basic life and AD&D, long-term disability and short-term disability insurance\nMedical, dental and vision plans to meet your unique healthcare needs\nWellness incentives\nGenerous time off program that includes personal, holiday and volunteer paid time off\nFlexible work schedules and hybrid/remote options for eligible positions\nEducational assistance\nBot-Filtering Mechanism\nThe Mutual Group uses a bot-filtering mechanism as part of its recruiting and hiring process.
