This role partners closely with Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Finance, and business stakeholders to maximize the value of cloud investments while supporting innovation, scalability, and operational excellence.\nThey combine strong AWS technical expertise, hands-on coding and automation experience, and a solid understanding of FinOps principles, including the Inform, Optimize, and Operate lifecycle.\n\nWe’re Looking for You:\nImplement and mature FinOps practices across AWS environments using the Inform, Optimize, and Operate framework.\nAnalyze AWS spending trends and provide actionable recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.\nDevelop cloud cost reporting, dashboards, forecasts, and executive-level insights.\nManage and optimize AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Organizations, AWS Budgets, Cost & Usage Reports (CUR), Savings Plans, and Reserved Instances.\nBuild automated solutions for cost monitoring, anomaly detection, chargeback/showback, and governance.\nPartner with application, platform, and business teams to identify optimization opportunities and align cloud spending with business objectives.\nParticipate in architecture reviews to ensure solutions are designed for cost efficiency, reliability, and scalability.\nDrive continuous improvement through automation, operational excellence, and cloud cost accountability.\nDevelop forecasts, budgets, unit-cost measures, and scenario analyses that support planning and connect AWS consumption to applications, products, programs, and business outcomes\nEvaluate and administer AWS pricing-model strategies, including Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and other commitment-based discounts. Provide evidence-based recommendations, monitor utilization and coverage, and manage financial risk within approved governance processes.\nAutomate recurring FinOps controls and workflows through infrastructure as code, APIs, scripts, event-driven services, and CI/CD integrations, including budget alerts, anomaly notifications, rightsizing recommendations, resource-scheduling controls, and policy checks.\nFacilitate regular cost reviews and optimization working sessions with cloud platform teams, application owners, finance, procurement, and business stakeholders. Maintain a prioritized backlog of actions, owners, expected benefits, and realized outcomes.\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 3 years AWS cloud experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n3+ years of experience in Cloud FinOps, Cloud Financial Management, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or related disciplines.\nExperience managing costs in enterprise AWS environments.\nStrong understanding of cloud economics, budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation methodologies.\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience implementing enterprise FinOps programs and governance models.\nExperience supporting cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives.\nAbility to communicate technical and financial concepts effectively to business and executive stakeholders.\nPreferred Certifications\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional\nFinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP)\nFinOps Certified Engineer (FOCE)\nTerraform Associate\nThe starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $80,840 - $128,700. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
