They will assist in ensuring conservation projects have a clear pathway for execution and timely delivery, by tracking launch and development through the project cycle, ensuring adequate resources are dedicated, deployed, and progress is monitored and evaluated. Reporting to the Gabon Deputy Director, the position will be based at the TNC office in Libreville Gabon. No employment visas or assistance is being offered with this position except for the local labor employment requirements.\nWe’re Looking for You:\nThe Gabon Program Coordinator supports execution of TNC Gabon conservation agenda by managing and coordinating systems and processes to track and measure progress, improve effectiveness of the team’s work, build accountability of each team member, and facilitate more collaboration and communication within Gabon team, and between Gabon staff, partners, and other regional and global TNC experts. The Program Coordinator assists the Gabon Deputy Director and different Program Leads by maintaining new project records and tracking reporting requirements to donors and partners, and will support the development of project plans, budgets, metrics, schedules, and reports with input and buy-in from key stakeholders and team members. The Program Coordinator will organize internal meetings and trainings and ensure they are facilitated appropriately to achieve desired goals. They track agreed actions and tasks; develop documents, translations, presentations, and other materials; and coordinate events and consultancies with external partners. They support key coordinating functions that help staff and stakeholders work in an efficient and effective way, such as tracking project status in a project management software, maintaining a shared Box folder, tracking meeting commitments and minutes, and following up with partners to ensure work is proceeding as planned. They also support staff through activities such as collating and organizing data (financial, biological, etc.). The Program Coordinator will also help ensure that events are effectively planned, participants receive advance information, technical materials are prepared, and reports are completed in a timely manner.\nRole Scope and Key Responsibilities:\nCoordinate and track multiple project plans and workstreams across teams, track status via a project management software.\nDevelopment of documents, presentations, and other materials, and coordination of events and consultancies with external partners,\nFinancial responsibility may include working within/managing a budget to complete projects, negotiating, and contracting with vendors, assisting with budget development, and meeting fundraising targets.\nGain cooperation from outside parties to accomplish program goals.\nEnsure program compliance with internal policies and external requirements.\nUnder minimal supervision, make independent decisions based on analysis, experience, and context.\nDemonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information.\nCoordinate and track multiple project plans and workstreams across Gabon program teams, tracking status via a project management software, and driving for timeliness and accountability of all staff members.\nCoordinate events and consultancies with external partners.\nAttend Gabon program meetings and draft minutes, and action points, and follow up the implementation of these over time.\nOversee document management systems that all Gabon Team members can access.\nSupport internal contract tracking system for the Gabon program teams.\nPrepare and support review of wide range of materials including presentations, writing/editing, research, analysis and make presentations to diverse audiences.\nCoordinate other key organizational and communications activities (e.g., external contact lists).\nSupport logistics of a range of stakeholder meetings and workshops as needed.\nWork environment may involve exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain; may require the following compliance to all safety protocols.\nFacilitate collection of numerical data and disseminate among teams for analysis and synthesis;\nSupport in the planning of TNC Gabon program trips with staff and external partners. \nWhat You’ll Bring:\nBA/BS and 5 years’ experience in natural resource management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nExperience negotiating complex agreements.\nExcellent communication skills via written, spoken, and graphical means in English and French.\nExperience using applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Web Browsers.\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nKnowledge of conservation practice, trends, and issues in Gabon.\nExperience coordinating, managing, and tracking complex or multiple projects, including staffing, workloads, and finances under deadlines.\nExperience completing tasks independently and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet time sensitive deadlines.\nExperience coordinating project teams and working with cross-functional staff.\nCertification in project management.\nExperience supervising staff, interns and/or volunteers.\nExperience organizing and facilitating workshops in an inclusive and participatory manner.\nProficiency in interpreting guidelines and manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting data.\nPossess strong interpersonal skills and political savvy to work closely with a variety of staff and partners. Must be a team player.\nProven ability to develop strategies and solve problems through collaborative facilitation.\nMulti-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.\nThis position requires a valid driver's license and compliance with TNC’s Auto Safety Program.
