Our progressive, interdisciplinary approach has earned us recognition as one of the most forward-thinking institutions in the world.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nManagement of space & material: Opening, closing space, ensuring that materials are stored safely, and are accessible to students, and keeping space tidy. \nExecuting material exchange transactions: Assisting students with dropoff / pickup of materials, including accounting of points on the material exchange ledgers. \nManagement of volunteer program: Scheduling and training of students volunteering time in the Material Exchange.\nCollaboration: Work with students, faculty, and staff to create an engaging space where materials are housed for students.\nCommunications: Managing announcements on Material Exchange website, social media. \nTeam Meetings: Being available to meet with Material Exchange director and volunteers\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nInterest and Knowledge: Strong interest in the built environment is encouraged.\nDesign Skills: Graphic design experience (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).\nCommunication and Teamwork: Strong communicator and team player.\nProactivity and Independence: Enthusiastic, proactive, and independent.\nTime Management: Skilled at executing multiple projects simultaneously with efficient time management and exceptional attention to detail.\nFeedback Responsiveness: Responsive to feedback.\nAppreciation: Appreciation for arts, design, student life, and higher education.\nAvailability: Available during office hours, with occasional evening hours to support students\nKnowledge of SCE: Familiarity with SCE’s disciplines is a plus but not required.\nWORK MODE:\nHybrid/Split - Employees hired for this position have regularly scheduled, consistent percentage of time on campus (ex 1-4x/week) and also work some of the time remotely. This position will require 2 days of on campus work.
